My Summary

My Experience

I have worked in the Banking sector for 40 years in mainly senior managerial roles in Treasury, OTC Derivatives, ,Internal Audit and Compliance until being made redundant from RBS in December 2010. I immediately studied for my Teaching Diploma and graduated in March 2011 with a Distinction .I have been tutoring up to 15 children each year since that date ranging from 6 to 16 to GCSE Maths, English, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning to prepare pupils for SAT's and school entrance exams. I have also tutored GCSE Maths to some mature students. I am educated to Degree Level and hold several post A Level qualifications,both professional and academic.( see below). I am currently teaching maths in a secondary school, but prior to this worked in 3 primary schools teaching the subject to both able and less able children in Years 3,4,5 and 6 .I am very passionate about the subject and really enjoy both tutoring and teaching it.. I get on extremely well with my students, both at the school and through home visits and over the past 8/9 years have build up strong relationships with them and will wish this to continue.Many parents have praised my tutoring and how well the children have advanced since I started working with them. I have been CRB checked by 4 schools and have been vetted by the Met. Police through carrying out voluntary work Excellent references on request. Currently furthering my studies by studying for an Honours Degree in Teaching Support & Learning at the University of Greenwich 1 day a week.

Very high success rate at GCSE Maths and entrance exams which I am very proud of. Give excellent value for money and really bring my tutees along in an environment that truly suits their ability, as well as giving them the challenges they need, so as to stretch their learning.
