My Experience

Ofsted-registered Childminder since 2012

I have extensive experience providing sole-charge childcare on both a full-time and part-time basis, caring for children of different ages and with a range of individual needs. I also have experience caring for twins.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Working closely and effectively in partnership with parents to ensure consistency between home and childcare.
Taking responsibility for the safety, wellbeing, care and development of the children.
Supporting children with their personal care, including changing nappies and assisting with age-appropriate self-care.
Preparing snacks and supervising children during mealtimes.
Planning, organising and coordinating age-appropriate activities according to each child's interests and developmental stage.
Providing a wide range of creative and educational activities, encouraging children's curiosity, confidence and learning through play.
Organising regular outdoor activities, including trips to local parks, walks along the canal and opportunities to explore and connect with nature.
Planning and supervising rest and nap times according to each child's individual routine and needs.
Reading to and with children, encouraging language development and a love of books.
Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines.
Providing engaging indoor activities, including arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, singing, dancing and yoga.
Creating a fun, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and express themselves.
Taking children to and collecting them from schools and nurseries, where required.
Maintaining clear communication with parents regarding children's daily experiences, progress, routines and wellbeing.
