About Me

Hi my name is Sharon Nunan and I am a highly qualified and experienced, professional Ofsted registered 2 times outstanding child-minder. I feel I provide a home from home, in a happy,fun & loving environment. I live in a spacious house with my partner and my grown up daughter in the village of Denmead. I have been childminding for the past 20 years,in a non smoking and no pet household.
I do have a purpose built play room but the children have the run of the whole of the downstairs. I like to encourage creative play such as drawing ,painting, cutting and sticking and play dough, plus many more. We do all types of cooking and love to plant and grow things, either in the garden or on the window sills. I have sand and water play outside in the garden and a wide variety of outdoor play equipment and ride on toys. I have jigsaws, games and toys for all ages and stages of development including dressing-up clothes & role play. The children enjoy dancing, singing with musical instruments, as well as story time . We visit the local toddler groups, messy play groups and the library for story time. We go to local parks, the seaside, the lake at Petersfield , Porchester Castle, Creech Woods to name but a few. We like to walk if we can as its good for the children to get the fresh air and exercise. I do daily diaries for my children under 2 ,so parents can see what we have been doing during the day, also so they can see what they have eaten, slept etc. I follow the Early Years Goals as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage birth to five which is all designed to encourage your child to develop skills needed in preparation for school.
I take and collect from both Denmead infants and junior school and all the pre schools in the village.
