About Me
Hello, My name is Sophie, I am 30 years old and have over 14 years experience of working within different childcare settings.
I am a mother to a 6 year old daughter and live with my partner.
I am currently a University Student who is due to begin my final year in September 2022, where I am training to be a Paramedic.
I currently work for Yorkshire Ambulance Service as a Emergency Medical Technician but looking for further work throughout the next year and a half to support my funds and to assist with my bills while I enter the final year of University.
My Experience
I am level 3 qualified in childcare and have used this qualification for lots of different childcare roles.
I have experience in working with challenging children - due to working for years in a residential home with children who have challenging behaviours up to the age of 16 years.
I spent a lot of my time working within a nursery as a Team leader Nursery nurse. where I was also trained in Special Educational Needs, where I worked closely as a one to one support for different children with additional needs.
I have worked abroad for holiday companies in Greece, France and Egypt.
I have also worked as a Private Nanny for families with up to 5 children, and on a weekend worked as a mothers help on a saturday.
Desite all these different roles I have had throughout the years - the best experience of all has to be the fact I am a mother myself. I have gained a understanding of parents and their wants and wishes for childcare now I am a mother myself.
My Qualifications
I have a NVQ Level 3 in childcare, learning and development.
I am in my final year of Paramedic Science at University - meaning my first aid skills are pretty much the best you could hope for when looking for childcare.
I have qualifications in SEN
Maths, English and Sceince GCSES C and above.
My Availability
I am looking for occasional casual work, such as babysitting. also happy to be a mothers help etc.
I will still be working for the Ambulance Service and providing childcare on other days, I will have lots of availability throughout the summer.
I will also be available for occasional days in the week or weekend
