About Me
My name is Carol Smith and I have been a childminder for 31 years. I have two grown up sons and grandchildren, that live in Andover.
My Experience
Childminding is more than just a job for me, I love my work and strive to provide a family atmosphere for each child that I care for.
I particularly enjoy being creative, such as interactive storytelling. And a real passion of mine is finding new and exciting crafts, activities and places to visit.
I have cared for many children over the years from 3 months up to 11 years. And have also been a support childminder, giving advice and assistance to new and existing childminders.
My Qualifications
I have completed the Early Years Foundation Degree, giving me a level 5 qualification.
I also have many other qualifications including Paediatric first aid, child protection, health and safety and food hygiene to name but a few.
I take my professional development seriously and am always looking for courses and training opportunities etc. that will help to make me a better childcare provider and to improve the service I provide.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Please note fees quoted on here are an average, as they are calculated dependent on hours and number of days attended. This is something we can discuss during a meeting.
All local activities such as toddler groups, clubs etc. are included in the price.
I am qualified to do the Early Years funding.

Our little boy has spent almost 4 years being looked after by Carol & we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. He always enjoyed all the activities Carol put on & looked forward to each morning to see what toys were out that day! Carol likes to take the children out a lot too with visits to lots of parks, the farm & walks in the woods. We loved receiving daily updates of what they got up too along with lots of photos, we will definitely miss that!

We would recommend Carol to anyone! Unfortunately due to moving several hours away, we have had to change childcare for our daughter! In a short space of time our daughter (9 months old) was bonding so well with Carol and the other lovely children Carol looks after. Carol kept us up to date with pictures and a daily diary which we would be excited to read as soon we collected our daughter. Carol put me at ease when I was nervous around leaving my daughter, but immediately I felt comfortable knowing that she would be in safe, caring hands! We would recommend Carol to anyone!

My daughter settled really quickly into Carol's lovely warm and homely setting. Carol was amazing at setting up different activities for the children to do and we loved seeing the photos at the end of each day! We can't thank Carol enough for providing a rich and stimulating environment, just what our daughter needed! Thank you so much!
