About Me
Hi, I’m Kay, an Ofsted registered childminder based in Swinton. With over 17 years of experience and a lifetime around children, I provide a warm, welcoming home-from-home environment where children can feel safe, happy, and truly valued.
I live with my partner of over 30 years, and as a mum of three older children and a proud grandma, I completely understand how big and emotional the decision can be when choosing childcare. That’s why I work closely with families to build trust, offer reassurance, and create a setting where both children and parents feel comfortable and confident.
My setting is calm, nurturing, and full of opportunities for children to learn through play, explore their interests, and develop at their own pace.
What I Offer
I provide a balance of fun, learning, and routine, helping children grow in confidence and independence.
Each day includes a mix of activities such as:
• Creative play and crafts
• Outdoor play and fresh air
• Trips to parks, playgroups, and local community spaces
• Age-appropriate learning through play
I believe children thrive when they feel secure and supported, and I pride myself on giving each child the individual attention they deserve.
I strongly believe that exploring the community plays an important role in children’s growth, learning, developing important social skills,and confidence.
My Experience
I have been working as an Ofsted registered childminder for 17 years, caring for children of all ages in a safe, nurturing, home-from-home environment. Over the years, I have built strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families, supporting each child’s individual needs and development.
My experience is backed not only by my professional work but also by my personal life as a mum of three and a grandmother. I was also inspired from a young age by helping my own mum, who was a childminder, which gave me a strong foundation and passion for childcare.
