Hello my name is Jessica, I am 35 years old and have been working with children for 11 years. I am a fully registered childminder. I have worked with a variety of ages of children. I love getting messy and having fun!
I come from a large and busy/sociable family, I have two sisters and three brothers all younger than myself. My mother was a childminder for 20 years+ so being involved with children and getting stuck in is a big part of me. I have an 8 year old son who is an outgoing, helpful and bright little boy. He will be with me after school pick up times while I work.
I have childcare level 2/3 qualifications. I am also DBS checked. I am paediatric first aid trained - this was updated on the 13/12/2022 and is valid for 3 years.
My Experience
I have experience in working at nursery's (this included working in all the different aged rooms), I have worked in a school as lunch time cover and one to one readers, I have done babysitting and I have been a self employed nanny also, I was a childminders assistant and worked with my mum for two and a half years.
Whilst working as an assistant child minder I have cared for babies from the age's of 4months, I have dealt with bottle feeding, weaning and nappy changing. I have also worked with children up to the age of 14 years, including school pickups and drop offs.
My Qualifications
I am first aid trained, each time this expires as it does every three years I update; and re-do the course that is available.
I am CRB checked.
I am OFSted registered as a self employed childminder.
I have my level 3 childcare qualification. (NVQ)
I have also passed my level 2 in childcare.
DBS checked.
My Availability
I am available to work Monday to Friday.

Jessie has taken care of my daughter for over 2 years, her and her assistant are amazing! My daughter has progressed so much since she first attended, grew more confident, her speech and knowledge have significantly improved. They have always done the best to accommodate your needs, offering flexibility and understanding. Freshly cooked, warm food made a massive difference as my little one refuses to eat cold food, interactive and varied activities, and the precious hugs are what my child meeded.They are offering that loving, caring setting children need, we cannot praise them enough! I would choose this setting again if I have another child!

My child loves Jessie and Skye! My little one started very shy but had been given so much comfort and care all the time. Food is freshly made everyday and different activities in the setting and when outing. Days are full of fun activities and we parents could keep all of their little artworks which we cherish so much. Jessie and Skye are lovely x

Jess was amazing with my little one, She absolutely loved going there and always came home with a smile! She left when she started school but still asks to go round there at least once a week! Thank you for everything you helped grow my little princess!

Jessie and Skye are absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend both of them as the best childminders in Basingstoke! My son was with them for over a year and enjoyed every session, speaking about his activities and time spent with them for days after every week
The setting is homely and welcoming, spacious with a lovely playroom full of different activities and options for various age ranges. My son even enjoyed various days out at local trampoline parks, farms, soft plays etc.
Jessie always went the extra mile for my son and was a life saver to me on many occasions I needed extra childcare and hours
Jessie was always super attentive and caring to my son who absolutely adored her and Skye so thank you!

Started well, both of my children settled however she went against my wishes and put my 3 year old in a travel cot to nap which ended in him having a toilet accident due to not being able to get out. Food was always good and my children liked Jessie and her sister Skye and seemed happy to go. I personally feel that Jessie did not want my children to attend and after attending for just over 5 weeks she terminated our contract. Jessie has so much potential but feel maybe she just isn't hitting the mark at the moment.

I am very sorry you feel that way Sam, I cared for your children very well and met all Ofsted’s requirements.
I had to terminate your contract due to you and your husband breaching the contract repeatedly. This was not a choice I made lightly as I try to work with all my parents in partnership but despite my efforts it was not happening.
