About Me
I am a Nursery Nurse and Ofsted Registered Childminder (graded ‘GOOD’ with all my inspections in the past) for 13 years with excellent references. I am a mother of two teenagers and I take no more than 2-3 children under my care.
I offer the best care and educational start for babies and pre-school children by following Early Years Foundation Stage.
As a childminder my aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment, build positive relationships with the children in my care. I would like children in my care to feel part of the family and thus valued as a family member.
I live right next to Canbury Gardens and the river, 5 minutes to town and train/bus station.
My Experience
I have 16 years of experience in childcare. In the past, I work as an au pair and as a nanny and undertook work experience at The Happy Thames Nursery and Latchmere Playgroup.
My Qualifications
I am an insured member of the National Childminding Association and have completed the following diploma, certificate and courses:
CACHE Level 3 Diploma Pre-school Practice,
CACHE Level 2 Certificate Pre-school Practice
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare
First Aid
I also regularly attend courses/workshops organised by Kingston Early Years and Childcare Service. Some of the recent courses and workshops I have attended include, Infection Control In Your Childcare Setting, Birth to Three – Treasure Baskets, Creating a Stimulating Environment, Healthy Eating for Group and Settings, Basic Food Hygiene, Music Matters In Early Years, Maths Matters In Early Years, Purposeful Mark Making, Child Protection and Early Writing Through Role Play and Book-Making, Introduction to the Early Years Foundation Stage, Disability Awareness, Menu Planning for Childminders and Exploring Letters and Sounds.
