Hi Mums and Dads
My name is Lyssa and I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 12 years and I am a proud mum to four great children.
I accept FEET and all early years funding and am registered for childcare vouchers and Tax free childcare .

I try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible, so please feel free to contact me with any of your childcare care needs.
I provide care and education in a loving, stimulating family environment offering a wide range of toys and activities, both indoors and out. Whilst your child is under my care I provide a range of activities ( fully integrated Early Years Foundation Stage framework )to enable the children to develop and learn through play in a caring, supportive, stimulating, safe and happy environment.
I love getting involved with the children in all of the daily activities we do and i take great pride in seeing them grow and flourish into dependent confident individuals. I believe that every child is special and that they all deserve to be cared for in a safe, healthy, secure and loving environment. I want every parent to feel happy in the knowledge that while they are working their precious little ones have been left in such an environment where they can continue to develop and grow into happy, contented and confident individuals.
I have a lovely playroom which is full of fun toys, books and educational toys which leads onto a large conservatory which we use to eat our food or do fun arts and crafts activities, this leads onto a lovely sunny large garden which has a play house, trampoline, gardening area, a wildlife nature pod area which the children all love. Our nature / wildlife is also extremely special has we have Newts living there.

Lyssa has been a godsend and I could
never actually express how thankful I am to her.
At a very hard time in my life when huge life changes happened and when I had to go back to work, Lyssa took on my little boy and provided him with so much love, care and fun.
Within weeks, he went from being a very anxious, shy, clingy child, to marching happily into Lyssa's without even saying goodbye to me. On collection he was so excited to show me his arts and crafts or tell me about his fun day.
Lyssa provided such fun opportunities and took him to lovely groups for him to grow and develop and the growth within 6 months is incredible.
You are a brilliant childminder. (I have also emailed Ofsted as it’s important for them to know how incredible you actually are)
Lyssa has been so caring towards me as well and very understanding and flexible in my situation. Sadly, I have chosen to move closer to my family up north for more support on the single mom journey I’m now on.

Where do I start, Lyssa and her family have been incredibly sensitive, flexible and caring during these times. Lyssa has provided excellent childcare throughout lockdowns and has been a rock. Within a few sessions my unsocialised (because of Covid) 1 year old has gone from crying hysterically to going to Lyssa with open arms and waving goodbye with no tears. I can’t express enough the confidence and trust that I have with Lyssa and my children. If it hadn’t been for a 30 mile move I would still be using her services. She’s a great childminder and would also call her a friend. *****

We booked Lyssa to look after our two children on numerous occasions and sometimes at very late notice which was never an issue for her. Lyssa is very friendly, helpful and considerate and has a very good way with children. Her experience and approach allows us to be safe in the knowledge our kids are in great hands.

Lyssa has been looking after our daughter since she was very little and she will soon be starting reception. The time has flown, and i can honestly say Lyssa has been the most amazing 'second mom" to our daughter and will remain a life long friend of ours and so will our children.
We have been extremely happy with the care we have received, and the great progress our daughter has made whilst in Lyssa's care. Lyssa's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and our son has great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Lyssa's, kind, caring and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other childminders we have experienced.
Lyssa provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. Over the years we have received amazing arts and grafts items from our daughter, and wonderful hand made presents for mothers day , fathers day and birthdays.
Lyssa is a great communicator and has a great loving personality and has had no trouble encouraging good behaviour , kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home. When our daughter has hurt herself or was feeling under the weather I know that she feels happy to be comforted by lyssa and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure his health and safety.
All in all I am thoroughly happy with the level of care we have received and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping our daughter develop into a confident and self assured little girl.
I would absolutely recommend Lyssa as a great and reliable childminder who goes over and beyond her duty.

Lyssa has been looking after my little girl for over a year now and my little one is really happy with her and is now best friends with Lyssa's children. I couldn't have asked for a better childminder. Lyssa regularly takes the children to different activities in the area and also provides numerous activities for the children at home, as well as good food and a loving and caring home. Lyssa is an outstanding childcare provider, unbelievably capable and caring, I am always certain of my child's well being and happiness when she is with Lyssa. It is a wonderful feeling to have such trust in a childcare provider, she has given my daughter a second home.
