My Experience

Since 2010 I have worked in schools as a TA & I have been Registered as a childminder before in 2013 and have since then worked in a preschool as a 1:1 practitioner providing 1:1 support to children under 5 with autism, speech and language difficulties and also a child who needed BSL as part of communication within language throughout my working week.
I am now back childminding and loving it !
We are an adventurous setting We have passes to farms, zoos, Paultons, various valley parks for woodland walks,we go to parks and I do generally love the outdoors! We have a good sized garden with play houses, swing set, water play and much much more, we have a dedicated outdoor summer house & wooden gazebo for weather cover which is a dedicated environment to engage & stimulate child led learning ,abide from doing all the amazing activities outside my home there is most definitely just as much inside to promote a brilliant learning environment which is encouraged by me at all times. I pride myself in “in the moment planning” approach, i seize the moments when children first show curiosity, and support their next steps immediately, this emphasises the critical role of the adult in child-led learning, this enables children to live, learn, play and develop in the here & now.
I adore helping children achieve and just love to promote their independence and their willingness to learn.
My setting is a home from home with everything a child needs to thrive in learning, with love and laughter as a massive priority, We have lots of free play opportunities which is capable with our creative learning environment, our garden & summer house is a place of curiosity & wonder for all to explore .

My Qualifications

CACHE:how to set up homebased childcare.
food hygiene
Paediatric first aid
child protection/safeguarding, in settings including schools.
Introduction to the EYFS
level 2 in supporting individuals with learning disabilities
level 2 in supporting teaching & learning in schools
level 3 diploma in specialist support for teaching and learning in schools (QCF)
Autism in the early years
I can provide BSL if necessary
I Can also provide PECS and any other SEND service which will enable a child to enjoy my setting to the maximum, we can discuss further the appropriate needs to support your child or children in my setting
Makaton experience
Autism qualifications
ECAT training
I also retrain in safeguarding yearly amongst a few other relevant early years courses to keep up to date plus any new ones i feel would benefit the setting.
I also provide my setting on the curiosity approach & we are an outdoors setting for the best part of each day

My Availability

6.30am till late
£4.30* per hour for babies and preschoolers, inclusive of snacks but Packed lunches must be provided.


I DO NOT do any school drop offs or pick ups.
