My Experience

Hi Parents, I have looked after children as a profession for 12 years now, for the last 9 years this has been through the Childcare website.

I've worked for 2 years in a Private nursery with children from newborn to 4 years old and before having children I was a full time sole-charge nanny for many families longterm in Shepherds Bush until I started having my own children.

I now live in Mitcham, bordering on Colliers Wood and I have 3 children of my own. Two of which are at school all week and I’m fortunate in not having to do the school run. Which pretty much leaves me at home alone with my toddler son all week and as he is a very easy child I’m finding myself at a bit of a loss, not to mention my son is very used to having children round and misses having company throughout the day. I’m hoping to take on 1 or 2 kids on a weekly basis and can babysit whenever needed.

I adore children. I always have, I have ample patience for them and enjoy being with them. I like to keep children busy and learning, some of the things I loved to do as a nanny and now as a mum are painting, playing with play-doh, drawing, using building blocks, spelling tests, maths tests, writing short fun books and making cupcakes. My eldest 2, who are both still in early primary, love the company of other children and I know they’d adore being around some new little ones. I’m a great believer in cooking from scratch whenever possible and provide kids a variety of meals from stir-fries and roast dinners to fajitas and paella’s.

We are a family who believes in love and respect, we are multicultural and respect and embrace all cultures.

I have a degree in Sociology with modules in psychology and anthropology, but my greatest love and strength is the English language and Literature. I’m currently going through the process of becoming a Registered Childminder but as this will take another couple of months I wanted to start putting out feelers for any local families who may need help.
