We feel incredibly fortunate to have Deepika as our daughter’s childminder. From the moment we met her, it was evident that she is not only passionate about what she does but also deeply committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our daughter. Deepika’s creativity shines through in the variety of activities she plans, which not only entertain but also educate. Our daughter has developed a strong bond with Deepika, and we appreciate the genuine care and attention she receives. Deepika’s professionalism is exemplary, and her open communication gives us peace of mind knowing our daughter is in capable hands. We wholeheartedly recommend Deepika to any family seeking exceptional childcare.

Unfortunately, we found out how misleading all these reviews are in a very hard way. In 4.5 years of my child's life she attended 2 different nurseries (15+ different carers) and had a long term babysitter. We had a lovely relationship with all of them. The relationship with Deepika was the only exception and the short time (3 weeks) we received her services was in one word, horrible, and caused a lot of distress to our family. She is the LEAST patient person I have ever met in my life, let alone as childminder. She is extremely unprofessional and her communication style is unbelievably poor. She is dishonest, not trustworthy and lacks ethics. We were very patient with her partly because of all the good reviews here. And partly, we thought our child was settling in to her new school and then Deepika’s setting after school. We reasonably thought they both have to get used to each other… but how wrong we were. I would strongly recommend that every parent, especially after school parents to think several times before they leave their child in her care. I don’t think Deepika cares about a child’s emotional state. She creates an extremely negative environment and talks about the child in a negative way in front the child herself, other children in her setting and also to other adults which could be very damaging for the child emotionally. I personally worry about the long term effects of this type of negative environment on the mental wellbeing of a child. I can write here pages of things but I just want to give one example to show how wrong the reviews here are. Almost all of them says she is very professional. Deepika asked us to sign her contract before our child started in her care which we did. She didn't return a signed copy back to us. We didn't think much of it because, hey, we trusted her with our most precious child. Later, when we challenged her about her not adhering to the terms of the contract, she sent us an unsigned copy and said contract terms don't apply because she herself didn't sign her own contract. Imagine this!! If we acted out of the terms of the contract she could have simply signed it and challenged us but she thought she is exempt from it by not signing. This should show what kind of a manipulative and unprofessional provider she is. Please don't be fooled by the reviews. Unfortunately, she thinks she is invisible because she has these reviews and when you challenge her about anything, instead of constructively trying to find ways to resolve it, she uses the reviews to say she can’t be doing anything wrong and tells you that it has to be all your fault, your child’s fault, the nursery’s fault, the teacher’s fault. The best thing to understand what I mean is to ask her about the complaints against her setting and she will have to show you our complaint and her response to it. You can then judge if you want to deal with this sort of behaviour.

Dear parents,
I am working as a childminder for over 11 years. OFSTED is the regulator for Early Years Childcare providers, and they are monitoring my service for 11 years and Graded “Good childcare provider”. Further my Local Authority London Borough of Newham continue to assess and monitor my service as they have offered me to provide 15 hours free childcare for 2 year olds, 30 hours free child care for 3-4 year olds and 15 hours free universal entitlement for eligible and 3-4 year old children.
After over 11 years of service as a childminder this is the 1st time, I have received a complaint from a parent or any governing body. The family “Sev” enrolled their child in my setting for after school care in September 2022. Due to unfortunate circumstances I had to indicate the parents that I need to terminate the contract and they have immediately sent me the termination notice which I have accepted.
I understand the frustration of the parents when they have to terminate the contract with the childcare provider with in very short period. I have worked with the family only for 3 weeks and they have sent the 6 pages of complaint against me and my organisation to the regulator OFSTED. OFSTED confirmed that they have received the complaint, they reviewed it and now closed the case. It indicates that I haven’t done anything wrong.
I didn’t think ahead, and I thought it wasn’t necessary to add a settling in period in the contract, for a school age child. It was my mistake and I make sure to add a setting in period for all the new children enrol in my setting, enabling any party to terminate the contract within the settling in period, if required.
I have 5 children for after school care and I work with these families from 3 to 7 ½ years now. Parents always say that my setting is a second home for their child, and I am their lifesaver. No complain whatsoever.
I understand that it’s impossible for me to make every family happy. However, its look like that the “Sev” family is targeting me personally and my business and its very unfortunate situation. As per any parent’s request I am very happy to share the complaint I received from the “Sev” family and my answers to it.

If you are looking for professionalism and an excellent teacher for your child. Look no further. My son has been with Depu for 2 weeks now and she’s taught him so much in such a short period of time. She is very organised and have taught me a few things along the way. Her paper work/contracts are straight to the point. She’s upfront and gives you all the information possible to assist parents. Her home is also well equipped for children. I’m very impressed. She is also a very good communicator and keeps me updated throughout the day.

Deepika is a professional child minder who is child centered and caring , my son has been with Deepika since January 2019 he is was approx 8months , Deepika planned the settling in according to his needs, taken into account my anxieties as a parent returning to work, whilst being considerate of all of the children in her setting. Deepika ensure she became familiar with his routine and was/is respectful of my way of parenting and what is important to me as a mother.
Deepika is a first rate child minder, my son is always smiling and happy to be left in her care, he is taken on outings, introduce to new resources daily and encouraged to follow a routine. All of the children in her setting are well behaved . I have had no concerns since he has been in her care, Deepika is always informative and her communication is excellent always giving me time to speak about any issues I or she may half, Deepika is respectful of parents opinions.
First rate child care!

My daughter who is now 4 years old has been with Deepika since 1.5 years of age. My daughter LOVES her. Whenever I drop my daughter off to Deepika my daughter is smiling, laughing and hugging Deepika. Before going to sleep my daughter always asks if the next day we will go to Deepika’s house. That is how much my daughter is attachted to Deepika. Talking about my daughter’s development, Deepika plays a massive part in it. My daughter has learnt not only to be polite saying words like ‘pardon me’, ‘no, thank you’, ‘yes, please’ but also she constantly learns letters and numbers. My daughter can spell her full name as well as write it. Additionally, she learnt almost all of the alphabet and can count.
At Deepika’s the kids are always learning new nursery rhymes. Doing all sorts of crafting for various celebrations which my daughter really enjoys. Deepika and kids spend a lot of time outside. They go to the farm, parks, playground and other places always exploring new things. Moreover, Deepika always encourages my daughter to be as independant as possible doing such things like putting on clothes, going to the toilet, tyding up etc. Although Deepika is a loving childminder, she can be firm too if needed. If kids are misbehaving she will tell them that they should not behave like that and they would listen to her.
Therefore, for anyone who is looking for childminder, Deepika is the best and that is exactly why my daughter is still with her.

Deepika has been looking after my daughters for almost 2 years now and i can confidenly say she is doing an extremly great job caring for them everyday. I go to work knowing my kids are in competent hands hence i do not worry about them not being cared for while am away. My children enjoy every day they spends at her place and it has become a second home to them. Am particularly impressed with Deepika helping my 2 yr old identify Alphabeths, numbers and spellings and also helping my 6yr old with her writting and reading.
She is friendly, very professional and the children she looks after loves her. She has been of great support to my family and I highly recommend her.

I was in need of childcare again and so I returned to Depu. My daughter has made a massive improvement with her talking and her confidence around other children. Depu is always motivated and always does the best to make sure the kids have fun and don’t miss out on activities. Depu has been so supportive of my circumstances and very understanding which is why I would always recommend her. The kids all get along so well with her and are always excited to go to her.

I was nervous about my children leaving the nursery setting and staying with a childminder because I thought they won't learn as much. Depu proved me wrong I was so surprised at how much confidence my children gained in just a couple of weeks. She did so much with them such as reading writing and playing games. As soon as they would enter her house they would run off and start playing, that's how comfortable my children were with her. I'm happy that I chose depu to care for my children. Not only was she there for the children but she also was there for me and my husband and we could talk to her about anything! She was more than just a childminder she became a family friend and we will always go back to depu if we need to.

Deepika has been taking care of my 11month old and 4years old daughters for about 6months now, and we couldn’t be happier. She is a very lovely person and extremely patient. She does a very good job looking after my kids and even when am at work, am always rest assure that they are in safe hands. Her days are always planned around the kids and the children do lots of useful and interesting activities. She also taking them out to local parks, play groups and library which the kids seem to really enjoy. Every child in her care has a daily record book in which she writes about their day, including things they do, what they eat and any other notes the parents should know about, and she also keeps a dairy tracking children’s development that is regularly discussed with parents. Deepika’s house is clean, tidy, children-proof, safe and well equipped with all the necessary, including load of toys. My kids loves her and are quite attached to her. I would strongly recommend Deepika to any parent looking for a professional childminder who will take care of your children as if they were hers.
