Amazing childcare

Our daughter has been with Dionne for 18months (from 1 year old to 2.5 years old) but we have just moved out of London so have had to say a sad goodbye.

I wanted to leave a review to recommend Dionne and her team to anyone looking for childcare. They are full of care, endless energy and love and our daughter was so happy on her days there.

She learned and grew so much in her time
there. She was always excited to tell us about her days at Dionne’s; I was amazed when in Black History Month she came home and told us about Rosa Parks! Dionne and the team always went above and beyond to make sure all the children had a special time and we always knew our daughter was happy and settled and that was thanks to the great care of Dionne and her team.

We feel so lucky to have found Dionne and whole heartedly recommend her to anyone.

Wonderful and loving childminder

Dionne and her two team members are absolutely incredible childminders. My twin boys have been going to Dionne's since they turned 1 and will be there until starting school this September. From the very first day Dionne, Chrystal and Ciana went to amazing efforts to make sure the boys felt loved, cared for and completely at home. Dionne and assistants are so caring about the children and communicate very well about all aspects of their time in the setting. She has helped so much for example, with potty training, additional support around speech and language and very fussy eating! She also miraculously managed to get the boys napping at the same time every day after just a couple of months of being with her which was frankly life-changing for us!

I know that Dionne and her team have done everything possible to prepare the boys for starting primary school and has expanded their knowledge and skills so much from celebrating Black History Month with incredible activities, poems and artwork to cooking and eating food from around the world (especially the Caribbean) and practising early literacy and numeracy skills.

We have utterly trusted Dionne, Ciana and Chrystal with our children and can't recommend her highly enough. Your children will be in the safest and most loving of hands with them.

Best Childminder There Is

I’ve Been Using Dionne childcare services since 2015 , honestly she’s the Best! They always goes up and beyond for my daughter. My daughter absolutely loves going to the settings. They always ensure that my daughter do fun and educational activities everyday as well as going on little trips at least once a week. My daughter always have such wonderful thing to say about her day when I pick her up. The food selection is great as well as tasty. Dionne does little coffee mornings for parents every now and then , each year I look forward to her amazing Christmas dinner with other parents. I’m so grateful for Dionne and her team. Thank you all for all that you do , all your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Dionne is amazing

We have been sending our 18 month old to Dionnes for the past year and she is amazing. She is a powerhouse of energy and good vibes. Our son immediately felt at home there and looked forward to going. Dionne and her team are always doing activities with the kids and he comes home with the latest picture he's created or thing he's been doing. Big smiles and looking pleased with himself! The range of activities and thought that goes into the kids day is as good as we've seen at other, much larger nursery's (he's our third child so we've seen a fair few!).

She does run the business from her flat, but I would not let that put you off. It's always spotless, the staff are always attentive and by all accounts, the food is very good (we love the selection he has - Dionne regularly sends pictures of him with the latest world cuisine.)

Anyway, she's an absolute find.

The best childminders

My son is in Dionne’s settings 3 days per week and am telling y’all he comes home every week with drawings laminated stuff, the different activities they make on a daily basis, they do some much activities such as sing a long each evening he would be singing a different nursery rhymes, and doing the action along with it, I know for a fact it helps my son’s learning skills and developments.
Dionne, Ciana and crystal is doing a very good job with these kids they are so patient, humble and loving sometimes I drop my son off he would be crying then the girls would just take his hands and walk him into the activity area and in no time he would be singing along.
These girls pays attention are vertical attentive and very professional when it comes to the children I have seen and observed for myself.
Ladies continued doing your best!!

The Best Childminders

My two boys have been with Dionne and her two co-workers since September 2017, aged then 2.5yrs and my youngest only 10mths. This was the first time we were looking for a childminder, so we were nervous and apprehensive. Dionne came recommended by a fellow colleague so we thought we would have a visit.
Straight away any apprehension we had disappeared, she made us feel at ease and the boys were instantly interacting with Chrystal and Ciana.

Dionne recently has had a make over in her setting making it very interactive with lots of crafts, educational toys and a story corner making the most of her space. She will also be commencing Forest School with the children which I know my youngest will love!

I cant recommend Dionne and the girls enough; Dionne has always been accommodating to us if needed and I fully trust her and the staff with my two children who have done nothing but grow since being with her.

My oldest boy has sadly left and is starting school in September, but we were eager to keep our youngest there as we know how much he loves it.

Thank you Dionne, Chrystal and Ciana for everything - we would be lost without you!

An absolutely fantastic childminder

Our daughter has been with Dionne for three days a week since she turned one. Having met with a few childminders I knew we’d found the right match as soon as we met Dionne.

At our first meeting Dionne made a connection with our daughter. She was also incredibly comfortable with the paperwork side of the business, which I was really impressed with, this was something I’d seen at nurseries I’d visited but had been lacking with other childminders.

With the range of toys and equipment available, and the other children attending, we feel we get all the benefits of a nursery but with the additional personal bond and comfortable home setting.

Both assistants are also wonderful. Our daughter made a particular bond with one of them, which Dionne really encouraged, and it helped her initial settling in as well as her long term attachment in the setting.

Dionne has been really flexible and accommodating when we’ve had work commitments outside our usual childminding days, and she has even invited our daughter in for free to attend additional days for Christmas parties etc. This was so lovely and inclusive.

Dionne communicates really well, reporting on daily activities, meals, sleep and learning. She’s always keen to work closely with us on specific learning or guidance issues to ensure a cohesive approach both at home and in the setting.

Our daughter clearly loves her days with Dionne and the team. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

Wonderful childminder

Our daughter (2) has been with Dionne and her fantastic team Chrystal and Ciana for only 5months but in that time we have seen her speech, learning, eating and even sleeping improve. On our first visit we knew that our daughter would settle in well here. The setting is small but Dionne has utilised the space very efficiently. From arts and crafts to baking to water play there is plenty for the children to do. She also regularly brings them to soft play, the park, museums.

Since day one, our little one has skipped into Dionne’s. She loves it there and we can get on with our day knowing that she is in the company of people who care for her, help her develop and keep her safe.

Dionne provides a wide range of healthy food for the children and even gets them to eat their veg! There’s a menu plan each week and each Friday we are given the crafts our little one has completed during the week.

I feel we are very lucky in finding Dionne. Our daughter couldn’t be happier. Thank you Dionne to you and your team.

Genuinely caring carers #1childminders

My son has been with Dionne for 3 years and I feel as if I have hit the jackpot! It's evident how much she cares for my son and I feel completely secure in the fact that she is meeting all of his needs while providing him with a loving and safe environment. She selects and prepares healthy, yummy meals and provides us with meal plans for the week.

Having looked at a number of nurseries when choosing our Son's childcare, we decided we wanted to go down the Childminder route. At the time he was 13 months old and we really wanted a home from home environment, with more focused and personable care.
Dionne ticks all these boxes and more. Her home, and particularly her staff, is the perfect place for children to grow and learn.
we have found Dionne to be instrumental to our son development with his tongue tie issue. He is becoming a very confident boy talking a lot now and genuinely enjoys his time with Dionne and the other children.
Knowing our little boy is so happy with the settings makes it much easier to leave him - and ensures we never worry.

I have seen an immense boost in the confidence of my son especially his speech and he is always taking part in lots of activities, fun games, baking, crafts, outgoing and treats .
When it comes to birthdays, leaving do's it is guaranteed Dionne will make it a great one. The care from Dionne has had such a positive impact on our life as a family that the memories will remain and be cherished.

Overall, I can’t fault Dionne, the setting is fantastic, the highlight of my working day is receiving beautiful pictures of the fun activities they have been getting up to I would thoroughly recommend Dionne to anyone considering a childminder, she is wonderful with all ages and her long term care is outstanding.

Truly wonderful childminder!

Dionne has been looking after our daughter (M) since she was 11 months (she is now 2.5yrs) and we are so happy to have her in our lives. She is supported by a fantastic team (Chrystal and Ciana) who are also brilliant. Together they have created a really happy and friendly environment.

It was really important to us to find a childminder with a confident and friendly character. When we first started looking, M was a little shy and we wanted to help her build her confidence and spend time around a positive and engaging character. Dionne could not be more bubbly, energetic, warm and caring! She has such a way with young children and is so good at getting on their level, building their trust, and allowing them to shine. She really listens to what the children have to say, asks lots of questions, and takes a genuine interest in their opinions. Our daughter totally adored her from the start and became so much more confident very quickly.

Whilst it is a small home setting, it is set up really well. There are always other children there so it's very sociable. There are lots of activities and toys (balcony gardening, ball pit, dress-up, SO MUCH arts and crafts, baking, fish tank and much more). M comes home most weeks with various laminated pieces of art/projects that Dionne has helped her make. These also include printed photos of the piece being made by M which is so lovely to have. These are always really imaginative and educational projects (everything from learning about vegetables and plants to chinese new year, black history month and lovely mothers' day/fathers' day gifts). As well as regular trips to the park/softplay/library etc., the team take the children out on day trips - e.g. the Grenwich maritime museum and Peckham cinema.

Our daughter moved up to a nursery when she was around 2. Nursery had always been our ultimate plan after she turned 2 but due to the strength of the bond she felt with Dionne, we decided to keep up regular days with Dionne and she now spends one day each week with her.

On top of everything else, her location is so convenient - very close to Queens Road Peckham station which makes the drop-offs and pick-ups so much easier. Really can't recommend Dionne enough!
