Sophia was our daughter's childminder since she was 8 months, and we couldn't have felt luckier to get a spot. We sought a safe, nurturing environment and Sophia's setting went above and beyond our expectations. The setting is a loving and gentle space with a small lovely mix of children. Unlike nurseries and childcare centres, this feels like a little home from home. Plus, Sophia provides what we working parents can't— nutritious and varied cooked meals daily, messy play and crafts activities, outdoor play, and soft indoor play. I always felt our daughter was in a safe pair of hands, Sophia is incredibly professional and communicative. Plus, a babysitter who your child knows well is super helpful. My daughter loves them, and we've felt so good knowing she is loved and cared for in return. We only wish she could stay longer.

Our daughter was under Sophia Lewis's care from October 2022 to April 2023, and the experience was truly outstanding. Sophia combines professionalism with a warm, nurturing approach, ensuring each child's needs are met with thoughtful care. Her setting is a haven of creative learning and safe exploration, where our daughter thrived both indoors and in the delightful local playgrounds. Sophia's emphasis on varied, nutritious meals and a curriculum that fosters all developmental areas is commendable. Her adept use of real-time communication kept us informed and engaged in our child's daily adventures. Most importantly, our daughter formed a deep, joyful bond with Sophia, a testament to the exceptional, tailored care she provides. We wholeheartedly recommend Sophia to any parent seeking a loving, skilled, and attentive childminder.

Our little one has been with Sophia and Bella for more than two years and we couldn’t have wished for better caregivers during their formative years. Sophia and Bella are both so wonderful, responsible and thoughtful, providing excellent, child specific, nurturing care with a gentle approach. They do so much with the space at the setting, whilst also making sure the children get plenty of time outside every day in one of the many local playgrounds. The food is excellent, varied and nutritious. Safety of the children is always considered to allow for explorative play within a safe environment. They are always thinking of new activities and tasks, guided by and building on the children’s interests, to develop all kinds of developmental skills and learning, tailored to the child and their individual needs and within the EYFS curriculum and beyond. Communication is excellent in person and via the app. I really appreciated knowing in real time about food, naps and toileting as well as seeing wonderful pictures of all the fun they were having. Our child has so much fun every day and has formed a real bond with both Sophia and Bella.

Our daughter had a wonderful time being looked after by Sophia and Bella at The Setting. Every single time we dropped off and collected, the children were happy and engaged in interesting play or activities. Sophia takes the children out on a daily basis. In terms of food, our daughter was clearly eating well and enjoying the food and snacks.
One of the things we liked especially was the sensory play that Sophia created and prepared. An example of this is messy play with spaghetti, homemade play dough or flour. Our daughter absolutely loved it.
We always received pictures daily of the activities.

From the first moment I’ve been to meet Sophia and to see her place I knew she’s the one I would love to look after my baby and also I knew that’s the right and perfect place for Deniz to be.She’s an amazing childminder with experience which this for me it’s very important,very kind and sweet with all the babies it was obvious that this is her passion and she loves what she’s doing.Her place is a mini nursery you find everything there all kind of interesting toys and also she knows how to entertain them with lots of activities.What impressed me the most is that after being so busy with them she also makes time to cook organic and healthy food. Unfortunately during Deniz settling period we had a family emergency and we have to travel.I will try my luck again when we coming back even if I know she might not have any spaces available but I must say Deniz and I loved her and Bella so we hope and pray to see them again.

Sophia and Bella are wonderful and very professional at looking after babies and toddlers. Jasper was 15 months when he started here and he really grew and enjoyed each time he went. The only reason we had to leave is because we are moving to Essex. I highly recommend.

Before our daughter, who was 7 months old at the time, started with Sophia and Bella, we talked to and visited several childminders - but it was only when we stepped into Sophia's setting that we felt we had found a place we could trust.
Sophia and Bella are kind, generous and patient; so much care is put into kids' development and needs. Because our daughter started so young, they were instrumental in helping us with weaning (made easier by the amazing food on offer); because she was born during the pandemic, they were the ones helping her socialise with other babies and toddlers for the first time. Today, our almost one year old eats everything in her sight and is a super-social toddler; I have no doubt Sophia and Bella helped her get there.
We only spent a short time with Sophia and Bella before leaving London - and we left knowing their care would be difficult to replicate. They have made a huge difference in our daughter's life and ours: it's thanks to their care that we know what to look for in the future.

First things first, we couldn't have found a better childminder and are lucky and more than happy that we found Sophia. Right from the beginning our baby girl felt at home and in no time she was super excited to make her way to Sophia's home in the morning for a day of fun and games. Our baby was pretty small when we were first started (7 months) so we were obviously apprehensive about leaving her with someone else for a day, but it couldn't have gone smoother and Sophia helped us as parents enormously to feel comfortable and secure.
Sophia's calm demeanour makes it easy for baby as well as parents to feel relaxed and settle in. She provides a great setting and does plenty of fun activities with the little ones. At first we thought that not having access to a garden might be an issue but Sophia brings out the kids regularly and often and having Butterfield Green just around the corner is definitely a plus. Also, if it weren't for Sophia, we might have missed out on some important milestones that our baby reached; but now we know that her first word was 'ball'.
Thanks to the famly app, parents are always informed on everything that happens throughout the day and in the evening Sophia even shares pictures with all parents which is great. We recently relocated to another country so sadly had to say goodbye to Sophia, Bella who is equally great with the kids and all the little ones who had quickly become a cherished part of our lives. We know that our baby will miss her and so will we.

Sophia has been an amazing childminder for our Son. We had a really tough time with a very bad experience in a nursery and just handing our baby over in general. Sophia made the whole process really smooth and we felt so reassured to hand our precious little baby over to her. Sophia is warm and friendly, she really cares about the children in her care. Sophia spent a lot if time settling our baby into her setting, ensuring he felt safe and happy. It didn’t take long for him to greet her with a smile and reach out to her on his arrival. She is so attentive to the needs of the children and pays special attention to the details of their development as is evident through the progress reports that she provides.
The food the children are given is of high quality and extremely nutritious. Our baby is now in a fantastic routine which we ourselves found difficult to implement- he has regular naps and has slept through every night since joining the setting. Our Son has so much fun in the setting, where the children are offered a highly stimulating environment. There is soft play, sensory toys and books. Sophia spends time doing messy play and taking the children outdoors twice a day! I feel that our Son is making fantastic development in her care and we truly believe this is the best experience he could be having right now at this age.
We are updated regularly through the Famly app, so can see how our baby is getting on throughout the day. Sophia also sends us lots of pictures so we can see how happy he is with his friends. We can’t thank Sophia enough for the effort she puts into providing this care for our Son. We are incredibly happy and reassured parents and can’t recommend her enough.

Our daughter is 15 months and has been going to Sophia for the past four months and is really happy there. Sophia engages the kids in lots of different activities - messy play, painting, games with water, soft play and they go to the park every day. Sophia encourages their development and provides regular updates on how our daughter is developing, showing real care and interest in the kids she looks after. Meals and snacks are healthy and nutritious. Sophia has been very accommodating and flexible when our plans have changed. I have no hesitation recommending her to anyone looking for childcare. It has made my return to work so much easier knowing that my daughter is happy and is being well cared for!
