About Me
Hi, my name is Amanda (Mandy for short)!
I am a independent Ofsted Registered Childminder with over 25 years of experience caring for children of all ages across a variety of settings, including schools, preschools, nurseries, forest schools, and as a private nanny for families across Bristol.
I work alongside two wonderful independent childminders, Laura Adams and Ruby Adams, and together we share a cozy, welcoming room in Hanham, Bristol. Laura and Ruby also have profiles here if you'd like to learn more about them.
Our setting is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year. We spend our days together, we visit local areas, libraries, toddler groups and enjoying nature.
I'm a kind, caring, and creative person who is passionate about helping children learn, so our days are filled with stories, singing, dancing, arts and crafts, free play and outdoor adventures.
My Experience
I have many years of experience working with children of all ages. I’ve worked in a variety of roles, from nurseries, forest pre-schools, a previous childminder and nannying. I’m confident caring for multiple children at once, I always make sure each child feels seen, valued and cared for.
Above all, raising my two sons has been my proudest and most rewarding experience. It’s given me a deep understanding of the love, patience and encouragement every child needs to grow, and I bring that same warmth and dedication to every child in my care.
My Qualifications
*I am paediatric first aid trained- 2025
*I have a level 3 qualification in childcare.
*Safeguarding and Child protection 2025
*2026- Food hygiene and safety.
*2026- Prevent Duty
*Qualification Makaton level one
I have other certificates that are child related.
My Availability

- Childminding from £9.50 per hour
Childminding: My private hourly rate is £9.50ph.

Mandy has been caring for our 1 year old daughter for several months now and we can't recommend her highly enough. She is lovely with our child, and makes a massive effort to provide high quality care for her. She is also lovely to spend time with and helpful around the house. She provided us with all the necessary paperwork before starting and some brilliant recommendations.
