My Experience

My experience in nursery environments includes working as a Room Manager, where I have been responsible for leading a team, overseeing the day-to-day running of the room, and ensuring a consistently high standard of care and education. I have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and am confident in observing, assessing, and planning next steps to support each child’s individual development, as well as creating engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.

Alongside my nursery experience, I have worked extensively as a private nanny for several families, often caring for multiple children of varying ages simultaneously. These roles have included sole charge of newborns from as young as a few weeks old, supporting routines such as feeding, sleep, and early development, while also managing the needs of older siblings, including school runs, after-school activities, and organising enriching day trips. I have supported key developmental milestones such as weaning, potty training, and building independence, always tailoring my approach to suit each child’s personality and stage of development.

I also bring experience working in a paediatric hospital setting, which has strengthened my understanding of children’s health, safety, and wellbeing, alongside my role as a health and safety representative within a nursery. I am highly confident in maintaining safe, clean, and stimulating environments and have completed extensive training in safeguarding, paediatric first aid, and child development. I am experienced in both independent and team-based roles, and I pride myself on being reliable, organised, and proactive. Building strong, trusting relationships with families is a key part of my approach, and I ensure clear, consistent communication to support the best outcomes for every child in my care.
