About Me
My name is Bryony. I believe that education is empowering, and I have since been able to acknowledge the impression that teachers make on the lives of their students. Like them, I want to learn to inspire children, which led me to a career in education. I am an experienced primary school teacher, in both the state and private sector. I also have experience supporting children with various special educational needs and difficulties.
My Experience
I am seeking part-time and ad hoc work to coincide with my teaching. I would consider tuition roles and evening and weekend nannying/babysitting.
I have a wealth of experience and have worked closely with children in many different contexts. I currently work as a primary school teacher. I have taught throughout the key stages, including EYFS, KS1 and KS2 phases, and I have experience teaching all subject areas, including the 7 and 11+. Additionally, I have practice teaching curriculums in both state and private sectors. Previously, I worked as a pediatric student nurse and spent 18 months training in this area. I have extensive experience looking after children with complex special educational needs and difficulties, medical needs and who have English as an additional language. I have extensive DBS checks, paediatric life support first aid training, and a full, clean driving license.
I am a competent cook and I am also able to clean. I also have various educational qualifications, including 11 GCSE's all Grade A or above, A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, a Certificate of Higher Education in Children’s Healthcare, a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education with QTS and a MSc in Psychology.

I have sent numerous texts and emails to Bryony to confirm childcare, unfortunately, she has not responded in nearly two weeks. As a result we have had to remove her from our books today. The first reason given was that her phone dropped in the toilet which I accepted, but then again was let down again.
Prior to this we thought she was very good. Such a shame that she has let herself down in this way. Communication is key for busy families.

Firstly I apologise that you feel this way, however I feel that this review is incredibly unfair and a misrepresentation of the circumstances experienced.
On all occasions that we discussed and I confirmed, I arrived on time and worked the scheduled hours we arranged. I have never let you down in terms of the childcare that we agreed that I was available for and could provide.
It was agreed that I would work for you on an ad hoc basis and therefore due to having a zero hour contract, I could not guarantee availability for all of the hours that you require in all circumstances. I work contracted hours for a number of other families and I informed you during my interview that my availability to work for yourselves would be based around these. As we agreed hours must be requested in advance via email and then authorised by myself prior to them being confirmed.
I have been on annual leave for two weeks, I did notify all of my clients about this and that I would not responding to any work related emails during this time period due to being out of the country and spending quality time with my own family.
Once again, I can only apologise. I wish you and your family health and success in the future.
Bryony is wonderful! I’m so happy we found her. She is so kind and caring and really friendly and totally capable and responsible. Basically everything you could want from a nanny / babysitter. Both my kids love her and she only recently started with us.
