Nanny in London: Enfield (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
I am a 36- year-old childcare professional with over 16 years of experience, driven by a genuine passion for supporting children and their development.
I began my career as a nursery teacher before specialising in Autism and Special Educational Needs (SEN). I later became a SENCO within a nursery setting, where I focused on early identification and intervention. In this role, I worked closely with children and families to ensure they received the appropriate support, including successfully helping to secure EHCP plans where needed.
Through my experience, I recognised that many families were seeking more personalised, ongoing support beyond the nursery environment. This led me to begin working privately with families, offering tailored support that truly meets each child’s individual needs.
I now provide one-to-one sessions for children with autism and/or speech and language delays, creating personalised programmes that focus on communication, life skills, routines, and overall development. Sessions can take place in your home, your child’s nursery, or within my own home environment. The initial sessions are centred around building trust, understanding your child’s interests, and creating a strong foundation to help them thrive and reach their full potential.
In addition, I am available for sole-charge nanny roles, both for children with additional needs and those requiring support with early years development. I bring extensive experience in child development and a strong understanding of child psychology to every role.
I pride myself on building warm, trusting relationships with the children and families I work with. My aim is always to nurture confidence, independence, and happiness in every child, helping them to flourish in their own unique way.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, travelling, continuous learning through courses and research, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through cooking fresh, nutritious meals.
My Experience
I have over 15 years of experience working within early years as a SENCO, nursery teacher (EYFS framework), 1:1 ASD specialist support practitioner, and sole-charge nanny.
I am deeply passionate about child development, with a strong interest in the EYFS framework and child psychology. I continuously strive to develop my skills and stay up to date with best practices by regularly attending training courses and expanding my knowledge.
I hold a Diploma in Childcare, a SEND Diploma, and have completed training in child psychology. I also have an up-to-date DBS check and a paediatric first aid certificate.
Supporting children to reach their full potential is at the heart of everything I do. I am committed to making a meaningful difference in young children’s lives, helping to give them the strongest possible start. I have a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes through my work and take great pride in the impact I make.
In addition to my early years experience, I have also provided tutoring in English and Maths for children under the age of 8.

We employed Lauren as a SEN nanny for our daughter, Scarlett, who has Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. Lauren began working with our family in February 2025 and worked three mornings per week from 8:30am–1:30pm. She was very flexible in her role and regularly stayed until 2:30/3:00pm when needed.
Lauren was with us for a year. In February 2026, when I returned to work, our childcare needs changed and we required longer hours, with someone able to stay until 4:30/5:00pm. Unfortunately, Lauren was unable to commit to this due to other commitments she had.
Lauren was exceptional in her role and developed an incredible bond with Scarlett. She supported Scarlet’s communication by teaching her Makaton and worked closely on her physical development and gross motor skills. She regularly took Scarlett to activities and assisted with physiotherapy appointments, and was insured to drive our car for this purpose. She supported Scarlett’s routine and never missed a nap.
During nap times, Lauren was proactive and helpful, often preparing healthy meals for our family. She consistently went above and beyond her role, helping with household tasks such as cleaning up after our morning breakfast, loading and unloading the dishwasher, keeping all surfaces clean and tidy and managing some laundry.
Lauren is an experienced, dedicated, compassionate and professional SEN nanny, and we would highly recommend her to any family. We are really saddened not to be working with her anymore - her next family will be very lucky.

Lauren looked after my daughter for a year until our situation changed and we needed a different childcare arrangement. Our daughter immediately clicked with her as she has a fantastic way with children- she is fun, educational, always thinking up new activities, but also knows when children are tired and need some comfort/a rest. She was great at doing homework and making it enjoyable and really supported improvements in our daughter’s reading. I would come home in the evening- our daughter would have had a brilliant afternoon of activities in and out of the house, well fed, homework done, and bathed. Highly recommend Lauren- a dedicated childcare professional.
