I have a degree in Events and Entertainment Management at London South Bank University.
I have a Level 3 Childcare and Young People's Workforce certificate, gained through College.
My Experience
I have tons of experience and have worked with children for almost 5/6 years. Over the years I’ve worked with babies all the way up to 10 year olds. This has enabled me to see the different types of care children need. Working in a primary school, (Y1/2/3) this job allowed me to, communicate effectively, ensure all my planning and tasks were complete ready to present on time and work in a big, busy environment daily. As the class TA, I worked closely with a small group of special needs children, ensuring I was calm, supportive and patient when engaging with them every day. I would also plan and attend events, fairs and clubs after school with colleagues to help out. In addition, I ran the children’s after school club four days a week after work in which around 15-25 adorable children would attend until they were collected by their parents after work or other commitments. I’m happy to help out in any way possible. I am use to cooking healthy and fresh meals, light cleaning, laundry, ironing, teaching/coaching and having lots of fun with different activities on a daily basis!
One of my previous roles was looking after two young boys in London (45 minute drive away) (18 months and 4 years old). I collected them from Nursery/School at 5pm and entertained them for 2 hours until the parents return at 7pm. We’d play, act, sing and go to the park daily. Sometimes I would prepare a small snack if needed. I loved this job as was fun and I created a lovely bond and friendship with them, this was also a very rewarding job as it was amazing to watch the children learn and grow. I feel like being a Nanny comes very naturally to me as I’ve worked with children for many years and have lots of experience to help.
I then went on to work with another family closer to home, 2 young girls ages 6 and 10, I would also collect them from school around a 30 minute drive from their house and bring them home and complete daily tasks/chores required of them as well as doing their important homework and extra curricular activities with them until their parents arrived around 8pm. I also did light housework, washing, cleaning, cooking etc to help out the parents as much as I could. I ensured that the children had healthy snacks and meals ready for them too.
I’m happy to take children to the local park during school holidays, library, museum etc to do something different and engage their minds in active play. (When the weather is good!)
