I’m based in Roath, Cardiff, and I’m passionate about providing calm, patient and attentive care for babies while being a supportive extra pair of hands for new parents.
I have experience with children of all ages, including babies and young children. I have previously worked with a childcare agency in London and I’m currently self employed after moving to Cardiff.
My Experience
I’m a professional nanny with experience caring for children from young babies through to school age. I currently work with two families in Cardiff. I really value building trusting, long term relationships with the families and children I work with, though I am also comfortable working on a short term or one off basis.
I have particularly relevant experience with young babies, I’m currently working with an 8 week old, and I have previously worked with a 12 week old for around 5 months and a 6 month old. My experience includes following individual feeding and sleep routines, settling and soothing, sleep training, age appropriate play and development, weaning, and supporting children through the different stages of their development.
With older children, my experience includes school and nursery runs, meal preparation, creative play and activities, managing daily routines, and supporting children with their emotions and behaviour. I’ve also worked as a babysitter and house helper, so I’m comfortable adapting to different family routines and helping wherever needed.
I take a calm, nurturing and child-led approach to care, while making sure children feel safe, understood and supported. I’m patient, reliable and empathetic, and I aim to work closely with parents to understand their parenting preferences and provide consistent care.
I am now looking to build on my experience with young babies and specialise further in newborn and postpartum care, supporting both babies and parents during those early months.
