About Me
My name is Marília but you can call me Leela. I'm 26 years old and I come from Brazil. I have worked with kids and babies since 2014 as an English teacher, in private classes, kindergarten and languages schools. In 2016, I started working as an English tutor through my own English methodology of learning. Since the beginning of 2019 I've been working as a childminder and investing on that.
My passions are my family, human behavior (especially kids), pets, different cultures, nature and society development.
I'm graduated in International Relations, I have learned other languages (Brazilian Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Italian) and I've been in Japan, Netherlands, England, Italy, California, Chile and Argentina. I'm currently studying Italian laguage and deciding my next academic certification.
During my academic year, I have concluded the thesis "Refugee People and Their Profile in São Paulo City", approved with a maximum grade. Besides that, I'm certified by Cambridge University (CELTA course, Brazil), Project Management (Intrax Schoool, EUA) and Development&Leadership (INEXH, Brazil).
In my free time, I love going to parks with my dog, eat at different restaurants, visit new places and spend a time with my family and friends. I love reading about psychologist, watch musicals, movies (romance, commedy, adventure and drama) and funny videos on Youtube. I also think a lot about creating new class topics during this activities. I love meeting new people, playing with kids and babies. My hobbies are travel, fashion designe and home decor.
My students would say that I'm sympathetic, friendly, patient, good humored, careful and comprehensive. My friends would describe me like a calm, patient, determined and reliable person. My parents would say that I'm a responsible, organized, creative, hard worker and communicative daughter.
My Experience
I have worked with kids and babies since 2014 as an English teacher with private students and at languages and kindergarten schools. I also have taught classes to people aged by 0 to 70 years old.
In 2016, planning to follow an Au Pair carrer, I did a volunteer work as a babysitter at a kindergarten school, during one month. It was an incredible experience to learn and enjoy about babysitting. Also, in the first semester of 2019, I have worked as a nanny for two children aged by 3 and 7 years old. I'm currently working at a nursery, since October 2019.
