About Me

Hello,

I’m looking for a home from home environment for my little girl Emilia, she turned 1 May 20th 2021. Looking for her to have a childminder from end of August early September 2021. Emilia will be 15 months when she starts with a childminder. I’m looking for someone who can be flexible to a degree, my partner is in the police force and works long shifts and I work in Civil Engineering heading up Communications around the UK. With the pandemic easing my working week is becoming more full and I’m needing the extra support. I’m from the South and my partner is from Liverpool. We have minimal family around us and so I feel a childminder will fill that void in our lives. I would love to build a long lasting relationship with my chosen childminder. It means a lot to me that our views align.

A little bit of background of our daughter and home life -
I’ve looked at nurseries but I am incredibly anxious to pursue them. I really want someone who will meet my daughters needs. She’s incredibly loving, alert, and cheeky.

In terms of home life, we contact nap of a day initially and then I place her down to finish her sleep off - I understand this approach will not always be appropriate but someone who is patient to help me, help her become a little more independent. She is still taking 2 naps a day, one hour in the morning and one hour at lunch time. But I imagine by September she will probably only be having one nap a day. She is crawling and standing but not walking yet. But by September I imagine she will be steady on her feet.

Emilia has had a few challenges in her first year (milk allergy and silent reflux), she’s on a milk ladder at the moment and her reflux is gone but I do think it’s contributed to her needing more comfort. She was also born in lockdown and so she hasn’t had a lot of interaction with other babies and adults. We have taken her to baby yoga fairly regularly in and out of lockdowns. In terms of stimulation at home, we have lots of toys, baby TV (is a god send at times), we play in our garden, paddling pool, balls, sensory toys etc. We try to play all day. Lots of snacks too!

In terms of our requirements, we would like to keep some consistency and commit to every Tuesday and Wednesday, but would be looking for support very occasionally and some weeks would be 3 days. With our jobs we are always able to provide a 5 week rota in advance to enable that flexibility. I have clicked only Tuesdays and Wednesday for childcare support but it’s like to be a Monday that I would need in addition some weeks (with plenty of notice if possible) failing that I’d take annual leave.
