I am a friendly, caring and experienced childcare provider based in the Eccleston area of St Helens, I offering both full-time and part -time childcare places, with contracted days and hours agreed in advance to ensure consistency for each child
My name is Carole Copple and I am a mum to three grown-up daughters. My youngest daughter (22) occasionally works alongside me as my assistant, providing extra support when needed.
I have been happily married for over 38 years, and together we have created a warm, safe and welcoming home-from-home environment where children can feel happy, secure, and enjoy their time in my care.
I provide a nurturing setting where children feel valued, build confidence, and develop at their own pace.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for over 19 years and truly love what I do. I take pride in offering a caring, supportive environment where every child can thrive.
I work alongside St Helens council and offer both 15- and 30 hour funded places for children age 9 months to 3 yrs.
I regularly attend training and meetings to keep my knowledge and practice unto date.
We enjoy visiting local parks and on occasion meet up with other childminders, giving the opportunity to socialise, explore and take part in fun outdoor activities.
My setting is a happy and engaging space, with a dedicated playroom full of age - appropriate resources. I also have a large, secure garden where children can play freely, learn new skills, and enjoy a variety of activities.
I encourage learning through play, helping children build friendships, confidence, and a love for learning.
My Qualifications
I hold NVQ level 3 in childcare, along with Paediatric first aid (level 3 ) and Food hygiene and safety for childminders. I also complete a range of additional training courses and regular update my knowledge in line with Ofsted requirements.

In January 2024 I was inspected by Ofsted and received a GOOD rating.
I am very proud of my setting and I always aim to provide a high standard of care for every child following the early years foundation stage (EYFS) framework to support children's learning and development.
I am fully insured and work in partnership St Helens council to provide funded childcare places.
My Availability
I provide childcare Monday - Friday, between hours 8am-5pm.
I offer funded childcare places on a 38- week term-time basis in line with St Helens Borough Council.
This means funding is used across school term dates only, as I do not currently offer stretch funding.
Any childcare required outside of these funded weeks or beyond your funded entitlement per day can be arranged separately on a private pay basis, subject to availability.

- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
I currently offer full-time and part time places. Please feel free to contact me to check current availability or to reserve a future space.
My standard hours are between 8:00am to 5:00pm.
I accept funded childcare places where eligible.

My little boy started with Carole in September. We have had a fabulous, professional, friendly experience so far. Carole put me at ease straight away and I fully trusted her from the start.
Carole has helped my little boy settle so well he now puts his arms out to her when we arrive. I am always kept up to date at handover with a smile and when he wasn’t drinking much at first, Carole went out of her way to help me with options and advice.
I’m so glad we found her and I would recommend her to anybody, thanks Carole

We were recommended Carole by another child minder from Childcare.co.uk who didn't have availability when we approached them.
Carole from the very first initial contact has been amazing. She is a brilliant communicator, everything is explained which makes us feel at ease leaving our little boy with her.
We were invited to see the premises prior to our little boy starting & her set up is really great, clean, safe and secure. Amazing grounds and play room.
Since starting with Carole in the new year, our little boy has literally thrived. He gets so excited when he recognises the property & literally beams upon Carole answering the front door (which is a great indication that Carole does a fantastic job of looking after and nurturing our boy). Carole is always happy to see our little boy & shows amazing compassion and care towards him.
Communication remains really good, we always get a handover at the end of the day & if there's anything else we get contacted through WhatsApp.

I’m so glad he’s settled and happy—it’s always lovely seeing him come in with a smile! Thank you for trusting me with his care.
Our daughter recently started and has settled in really well thanks to Carol's lovely nature and fantastic setting! We have received occasional updates showing how happy she is with her, which has been very much appreciated especially if our little one had a bit off a teary goodbye on the morning. Overall very professional and attentive to our little girl, very happy to have found this Childminding service!
