About Me
My name is Abbie, I am 19 years old and I am going into my second year studying Graphic Design at UWE Bristol. I have always loved caring for children and spend as much time as I can with my 2 year old niece when I visit home. I also chose to work at Supercamps (a summer camp) this last summer for 6 weeks.
I achieved all As and A*s in both my GCSE and A Level exams and would be more than happy to assist any child in my care with home learning and educational activities.
My interests include reading, writing, art and design, being outside (walking, cycling), animals, cooking and making the most of living in such a beautiful city (going on days out, exploring new areas etc).
I will be living up Gloucester Road next year so will still be very central and able to travel by bus/bike to babysit.
My Experience
I worked through the summer at Supercamps, specialising working with Early Years (4-5 year olds) but also frequently covering the older years who were 6+. I am fully First Aid trained (specifically Paediatric which covers the topics of all ages), and I also undertook online and in-person Early Years Practitioner training through my job. The online training also covered safeguarding, behavioural support, engagement and early years frameworks.
I have also babysat over the past few years for my niece (who is now 2) and also for family friends. I would be happy to provide a reference if required.

My Availability
I am very flexible in terms of my availability. I am going into my second year of university at UWE Bristol and so will always be local and willing to work at short notice. I am not yet sure of my timetable next year but I have filled my availability form for what currently applies at university right now (full days Monday and Tuesday). I finish university on the 7th May and then my availability will be fully open over the summer.

Abbie was amazing! helped me feel very comfortable leaving our two children in her care! She was prompt, flexible and very caring with the boys! kept me updated through out the evening on how they were doing.

Abbie came to look after our 2-year-old son for a few days each week recently, and she was brilliant with him. She was patient, enthusiastic and caring, and our son had a lovely time with her. We felt confident and reassured that he was safe with her at all times, and they did a variety of activities together, from trips to the park, to creative play and arts and crafts. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Abbie to anyone, and we look forward to having her here again soon!
