About Me
Hello! My name is Akshana. Through my Psychology BSc, I have learnt a lot about children's developmental needs. Additionally, I personally love interacting with children and am looking to nanny on weekends. I am open to also doing housework, picking up children from school, cooking etc. I do not nanny for children under 2 years of age. I am Enhanced DBS checked and can provide my certificate if wanted.
My Experience
I have nannied for a family of two during the summer of 2024 and 2025. I helped with school work, making meals, light household chores (tidying, laundry), supervising, setting up fun arts/crafts activities etc.
As a Teaching Assistant Volunteer at Manor Junior School, I aided in the classroom, helped children individually with reading &grammar and helped lead a school trips. Additionally, I worked as a Therapy/Counselling intern at BANG Edutainment, a charity that focuses on helping young children succeed, where I facilitated two youth clubs and went into schools to deliver several creative therapy projects like dance, gardening and art.
Aside from my studies, I love spending time with children in general. I have looked after several of my neighbours and younger cousins!
