My Summary
About Me
I am a caring and enthusiastic childcare professional with a strong background in supporting children’s learning and development. I have a First Class Honours degree in Childhood Education Studies and experience as a trainee primary school teacher, which has given me a great understanding of how to support children both academically and emotionally.
I’ve worked in a range of settings including summer camps, after-school clubs, and I currently lead a youth club. Through these roles, I’ve built up lots of experience working with children of different ages, planning engaging activities, and creating a fun, positive environment where children feel comfortable and confident.
I’m fully trained in safeguarding, children’s mental health, and first aid, and I hold a full DBS check. I always prioritise making sure children are safe, happy, and well cared for.
I especially enjoy spending time outdoors, getting involved in arts and crafts, and encouraging a love of reading. I like to create a balance of fun and learning, helping children explore their interests while feeling supported and valued.
I’m reliable, friendly, approachable and genuinely passionate about working with children, and love to create a warm, nurturing space where they can thrive.
My Experience
I have a wide range of experience working with children and young people across different settings. I trained as a primary school teacher, gaining hands-on classroom experience and developing skills in supporting children’s learning, behaviour, and overall development.
I hold a First Class Honours degree in Childhood Education Studies, which has given me a strong understanding of child development and how to create engaging, age-appropriate activities.
I have worked in summer camps and after-school clubs, where I planned and led fun, structured activities for children of various ages, helping to build their confidence and social skills. I currently work as a youth club lead, where I organise sessions, support young people, and create a safe and inclusive environment.
In addition, I worked in a care role for 2.5 years, which strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to support individuals with different needs in a compassionate and understanding way.
