About Me
Hello, my name is Hannah, I’m 27 and live in Warwick. I am a qualified primary school teacher of 5 years and an experienced tutor (year and a half). I am currently working as a supply teacher to allow for more flexibility and work life balance.
I predominantly tutor children of primary school age, however I can tutor Maths up to GCSE and secondary school aged children with more major gaps in English who need to catch up. As a tutor, I tailor learning to each child’s individual needs and abilities. I work at a pace that best suits them without putting too much pressure and stress on them. Learning should be fun!
I am passionate about being creative. I love to draw, paint, bake and have quite the knack for building flat-pack furniture!
My Experience
Qualified as a teacher in 2017. Worked as a full time class teacher for 3.5 years before leaving to do supply and tutor. As a teacher I have worked with children from the age of 2 (Nursery) up to year 6. This has shown me the expectations of all the year groups and the progression of development that children take, as well as the importance of targeted learning for children. With tutoring, I am able to work at each individual child’s level and pace that allows them to be the most successful and make progress.
I currently also do some homeschooling for those have felt that mainstream education system isn’t best for their child.
My Qualifications
Undergraduate: Sociology degree 2:1 University of Essex
Postgraduate: PGCE (Primary Teaching) University of Hertfordshire
My Availability
For tutoring, I’m happy to come to you any day after school, plus some sessions on the weekend (with understanding for the need to be flexible).
For homeschooling, I can do a few hours in a block on one day or space the hours out if that works best (minimum of 3 hours per day).
For babysitting, I can do any evening, but not every evening.
