Live Out Nanny Job in Edinburgh
About Me
We live in Stockbridge, Edinburgh and are looking for a permanent part-time nanny who is kind-hearted, loving, gentle, flexible, reliable and trustworthy to look after our nearly one year old. This is a long term position.
Start date is mid February 2024 or as soon after as possible.
The days and hours are two days each week which MUST include a Friday plus one other day chosen by the successful nanny.
The hours will be 8.30am to 6.30pm.
My Requirements
We are looking for a nanny who can offer some flexibility with the daily hours stated above in case they are required to start earlier or stay later in their own jobs. Additional babysitting can be offered.
As well as the attributes mentioned above the ideal candidate will have experience in caring for children of a similar age, be enthusiastic and excited to become part of their family. They will have a genuine love of children and be truly dedicated to the role. Supporting the parents routine, the successful nanny will have a gentle and playful approach to raising their baby, ensuring that he enjoys nature, long walks, swimming, travelling, reading books together, playing with toys, and attending classes and library sessions. They will have an understanding of early childhood development, good nutrition, weaning and how to support all the important milestones. Familiar or willing to familiarise with the Montessori philosophy and undertake paediatric first aid training are important. Non smoker essential. The role will also involve all usual nanny duties including the baby’s laundry, ironing, cleaning and rotating toys and batch cooking.
A driver is not required for this role but free parking can be discussed if the nanny needs to travel to the family by car.
The hourly rate is £14 to £16 per hour gross.

It’s so hard to put into words how grateful we are for everything Cristina has done for our family over the last two years. She’s become a huge part of our lives.

She is always punctual, reliable, and goes above and beyond to ensure our child's needs are met. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for our little one, which gives us invaluable peace of mind.
