Hi all, my name is Sophia. I am a creative individual who loves working with children and giving back to my community. I love arts and crafts, the nature and baking!
I have a genuine interest of giving back to my community and have a range of experiences working with children and different fields which involve care.
I have a clear understanding of EYFS, which helps me understand and help my knowledge grow when working with children in their early years.
I have worked with special educational needs within schools as a teachers assistant and have taken on babysitting with family’s with children who have SEN.
Whilst having a range of experience with both younger children, health care working and working with elderly, this requires me to have a clear DBS and this can be requested upon request.
My Experience
I have worked within schools as a PE leader which requires me to conduct sports lessons for children under 13, between 4-13, and run after school clubs from 13 to 16 years old. I have worked with elderly Lao within care homes which allows me to understand how the elderly functions and how much help which is requires for not just children, but a wide age of groups too.
I am currently working with a family and have been with them for three years. I look after a 2 year old girl, 8 year old boy and 13 year old boy. Whilst working with this family, it has helped me to understand how to conduct myself not just within a work culture, but in a family aspect also. When with them, they feel like family to me and I always look forward in seeing them as they bring me joy me happiness. The youngest child is within the spectrum which requires more attention than the older boys. This has helped me to understand how different people view the world and how quickly I must act and change my persona when working with her. Although she is non verbal, she is always so excited when I walk through the door as much I am to see her. Whilst working with this family, I have learnt to built trust with families to where this family has now taken me with them on holiday to work for them also. This has enabled me to expand mg knowledge on babysitting as I am needed all around the clock.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified dental nurse which requires me to undertake courses such as first aid, BLS training, medical emergencies and disinfection and decontamination.
Within my learning, I have achieved 7 GCSE’s including maths and English, and Merit, Distinction in Health and Social Care and Merit in business.
My Availability
I am currently working full time making my availability slim during the week. Weekdays i am only available from 7pm. Thursdays I am free from 9am until 2pm. I am available for weekend babysitting, any time. My standard rate is £12 an hour. Travel fees may be applied if not within my area and hours after 6PM will start from £13 an hour. If you would like a service which has been blocked out in my diary, please drop me a message and I can work around your schedule also. My schedule can vary from time to time so please enquire if needs be.
