Amy actively reached out to apply for a position I had advertised. She agreed to the dates and terms exactly as specified, and went as far as meeting me in person. Four days before the role was to begin, she let us down and bailed on the commitment: I only discovered her intention to cancel after I sent multiple messages checking in, since she had gone silent. We have been left without anyone to fill the role, and she has offered no help in finding a replacement. It is professionally unacceptable to leave parents in the lurch at such short notice. I would advise you in the strongest terms not to hire Amy or rely on her commitments.
