My Experience
During my time at boarding school, I had the wonderful opportunity to be Head of House, where I looked after younger students aged 8 to 13. This experience really sparked my love for working with children and taught me how to create a fun, safe, and caring environment.
In this role, I wasn’t just responsible—I was also a friendly, supportive mentor for the younger students. I helped with homework, organised games and activities, and made sure everyone felt happy, safe, and included. I also supported children who felt homesick or needed someone to talk to, helping them feel comfortable and confident away from home.
Being Head of House helped me build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff alike. I learned how important it is to communicate clearly and work together to give children the best care possible.
Most importantly, this experience taught me to be patient, adaptable, and creative. I love encouraging children’s imaginations, supporting their interests, and helping them grow in a positive and fun way.
