Extremely happy to have found OG

We moved to the area almost three months ago and started our son at OakGlen during what was quite a sensitive time for him. He was going through toilet training, adjusting to a new home, a new city, and suddenly everything around him was unfamiliar. As parents, we were naturally anxious about how he would cope , but we truly couldn’t have chosen a better nursery.

From day one, the team at OG have been incredibly caring, kind, and supportive. They made such a big effort to help him settle in and feel safe. We have seen such wonderful progression in him in such a short time, and that gives us enormous reassurance and happiness.

One thing we especially appreciate is the daily feedback. We are always informed about what he has been doing, how he has been feeling, what he has eaten, and the activities he has participated in. It makes us feel connected to his day and confident that he is in great hands.

The nursery provides a fantastic variety of food and snacks throughout the day, which is another big plus. The children are offered so many different activities, and I really love that they can choose what they would like to take part in based on their age group and interests.

I have also recently attended their coffee mornings where parents can join the children during activities. Seeing firsthand how much care, energy, and effort the staff put into looking after these energetic little ones was truly eye-opening. The level of dedication and organisation is impressive.

We are so grateful that we found Occlan. It has made such a positive difference for our son and for us as parents. A huge thank you to the whole team, we couldn’t be happier.

We couldn’t have wished for a better childminder

Our son has been with Lesley since he was just 8 months old, and from the very beginning she has been absolutely amazing. As first-time parents, it was so reassuring to find someone so warm, experienced, and genuinely caring. She welcomed our little boy as part of her family and created a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for him to grow in.

Every morning, he is full of excitement to go to her home — sometimes he can’t even wait to put his coat on fast enough! It speaks volumes about how happy and comfortable he feels there.

What truly stands out is her professionalism and attention to each child’s individual needs. She observes their developmental progress closely and keeps us informed with regular updates, always offering reassurance or advice whenever something new comes up. We’ve always felt that she truly understands each child’s personality and stage of development.

Her setting is always well-organised, clean, and full of engaging toys, books, and resources. She plans wonderful daily activities that match the children’s interests and the season — from outdoor play, arts and crafts, and sensory activities to special themed days, baking, and learning about nature. Every day brings something new and exciting, and our son has learned so much through play and exploration.

She also promotes kindness, sharing, and good manners among the children, creating a lovely social atmosphere where they all feel included and respected. It’s clear how much effort and love she puts into what she does, and we see the positive impact it’s had on our son’s confidence, language skills, and overall development.

We feel truly grateful to have found her and couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She’s not only a wonderful childminder but also someone who has become a very special part of our family’s life.
