We couldn’t have wished for a better childminder

Our son has been with Lesley since he was just 8 months old, and from the very beginning she has been absolutely amazing. As first-time parents, it was so reassuring to find someone so warm, experienced, and genuinely caring. She welcomed our little boy as part of her family and created a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for him to grow in.

Every morning, he is full of excitement to go to her home — sometimes he can’t even wait to put his coat on fast enough! It speaks volumes about how happy and comfortable he feels there.

What truly stands out is her professionalism and attention to each child’s individual needs. She observes their developmental progress closely and keeps us informed with regular updates, always offering reassurance or advice whenever something new comes up. We’ve always felt that she truly understands each child’s personality and stage of development.

Her setting is always well-organised, clean, and full of engaging toys, books, and resources. She plans wonderful daily activities that match the children’s interests and the season — from outdoor play, arts and crafts, and sensory activities to special themed days, baking, and learning about nature. Every day brings something new and exciting, and our son has learned so much through play and exploration.

She also promotes kindness, sharing, and good manners among the children, creating a lovely social atmosphere where they all feel included and respected. It’s clear how much effort and love she puts into what she does, and we see the positive impact it’s had on our son’s confidence, language skills, and overall development.

We feel truly grateful to have found her and couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She’s not only a wonderful childminder but also someone who has become a very special part of our family’s life.

Attended for 2 years

Our daughter attended from age 1 until just after 3 when she started preschool instead. She was always happy to come to Lesley's house and we knew she was safe and well cared for.

Lesley welcomed hearing about activities we'd been doing at home so that she could do the same at her house. She has a clean and quiet home, my daughter would be maximum one of two or three children in Lesley's care for the day, and we could see that they were happy too.

We shared a diary for communication which Lesley completed in detail.
