My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience working with children and young people across childcare, special education, autism support and behaviour therapy. My experience includes working with children from early years through to school age, including children with autism, learning disabilities, communication difficulties and other additional needs.
I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and have specialist experience in Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). I have worked in special education settings, nurseries, specialist centres and as an ABA/Behaviour Therapist, supporting children with their learning, communication, social skills and emotional and behavioural development.
I have experience supporting children who are non-verbal or have limited communication, using appropriate strategies such as visual supports, prompting, structured routines, positive reinforcement and play-based learning. I understand that every child is different and take time to learn each child's personality, interests, routines and individual needs.
