Jessica
Babysitter in West Lancashire
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Jessica!
I am a warm, reliable and highly experienced childcare professional with a specialist background in newborns, babies and early years family support.
I am a:
Registered Paediatric Nurse (NMC)
Qualified Neonatal Nurse
Practising Health Visitor
Specialist Community Public Health Nurse
I am passionate about supporting parents during pregnancy, the newborn period and the early years, and I feel privileged to help families feel calm, confident and reassured in their parenting journey.
Originally from Northern Ireland, I moved to England eight years ago and have since dedicated my career to caring for babies, children and families both in hospital and community settings.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, looking after my dogs and keeping active at the gym.
I offer a nurturing, gentle and professional childcare service, with a particular interest in:
newborn care
postnatal family support
babies and toddlers
supporting anxious first-time mums
overnight reassurance care
ad hoc babysitting for parents needing trusted time away
My specialist niche is caring for mums, newborns, babies and children up to 2 years old, where my professional knowledge and calm approach can provide parents with an extra level of confidence. Families choosing me are not simply booking a babysitter — they are choosing a qualified children’s health professional with extensive neonatal, paediatric and maternal wellbeing experience.
I understand how daunting it can feel leaving your baby or young child, especially in the early months, and I pride myself on providing calm, nurturing and trustworthy care so parents can feel fully reassured.
My Experience
My childcare and healthcare career has given me extensive hands-on experience caring for children from birth onwards.
I began my career in a children’s hospital as a Care Support Worker, supporting children and families with day-to-day care needs in acute settings.
I then progressed into neonatal nursing, working as a Surgical Neonatal Nurse, where I cared for premature babies, medically vulnerable newborns and infants requiring specialist observation and feeding support.
This role developed my expertise in:
newborn handling
safe sleep
feeding support
infant observations
recognising illness
supporting overwhelmed parents
Following this, I moved into Health Visiting, where I now support families from pregnancy through to school age with:
newborn care advice
infant feeding
sleep and routines
child development
maternal wellbeing
emotional support for new parents
Alongside my professional healthcare role, I also provide babysitting and ad hoc nanny support in family homes, offering trusted, safe and compassionate care.
Because of my background, many parents particularly value the reassurance of leaving their baby with someone who has extensive professional neonatal and paediatric experience.
My Qualifications
