Hi, my name is Clair and I am a qualified early years teacher with 3 teenage children based in Trent Vale. I opened as a childminder in Trent Vale in a newly refurnished annexe attached to my home. I work alongside my friend and ex colleague Nicky who is a qualified level 3 practitioner who has also owned her own restaurant. We offer the children in our care a bespoke curriculum within a nurturing environment whilst offering a wealth of exciting experiences. We explore the outside world, visiting parks, local farms and zoos, soft play and playgroups.

NNEB (Nursery Nurse), ADCE (Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education), BA Hons Professional Studies in Education, PGCE, NPQSL, Paediatric First Aid, Level 1 Safeguarding, Designated Safeguarding Lead.
My Availability
Term Time only. No charge out of term time or bank holidays.
Full days 7.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£60 per full day (10 hours) and £10 daily charge for extras and essentials including nappies, wipes, nappy bags, petrol, breakfast, lunch, evening meal, snacks and drinks. All activities including annual passes for Trentham Gardens, Peak Wildlife and swimming sessions. Term time only places with no charge out of term time weeks or bank holidays.

Easiest 5 stars I've ever given. I found them not long after they'd opened and honestly, it's the best decision I've ever made. We completely trust Clair and Nicky with both our children. Clair and Nicky have both been just incredible, as soon as I met them i just knew that they would love my babies like their own. They genuinely care so much, and they go above and beyond for you as well as your kids. They are extremely accommodating.
My kids have the most incredible time with them and have the most amazing experiences. My little girl has an egg and milk allergy and they go above and beyond to make sure she is catered for and that they are careful.
They are helping my little boy with his speech and I trust their ability and skills. They are doing activities, programmes and assesments to help him and keep me updated. Communication is beyond fantastic.
Honestly I don't know what I'd do without them. Me and my husband are so thankful for them.
The setting is perfect and so lovely for the kids. Its like a home from home. It's clean and the toys are clean and in lovely condition. All the food area is set up lovely and the kitchen is clean. The food is amazing and my kids won't eat breakfast at ours because they want breakfast at Panda Cubs instead.
My kids regularly talk about them and all their friends at panda cubs, they run straight in and don't look back. They love it there and they love Clair and Nicky.

Clair and Nicki are absolutely amazing at what they do! My son loves coming here and they’ve been really helpful with my current situation. They’re both really welcoming and hard working, taking the kids out to softplays, walks, gardens, etc so many places for them to experience and learn at. The environment is always thriving and clean, the atmosphere makes it feel like home for the kids never a sad face in the place. 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Clair and Nicky are the best team, we couldn’t recommend them enough as childminders. They are truly the best. Since our daughter started with them the difference in her is unreal, she is so confident and is thriving. She is the happiest little girl and sometimes we struggle to get her to come home from Clairs! She just wants to stay and play! They make her feel like she’s at home, so loving and caring and will do anything to help! The places they visit are out of this world, they take them out every single day! She has come on leaps and bounds and is much more confident since being at Clairs. We couldn’t be happier with her experience! She loves going and sits by the door waiting to go each morning! If 10 stars were an option we’d give that!

We joined Panda Cubs when they first opened, and choosing Clair and Nicky to care for our daughter has been one of the best decisions we’ve made.
They have been absolutely fantastic from day one. Our daughter has developed so well in their care and is always happy, confident, and thriving. We know she is safe, loved, and genuinely cared for every single day.
Clair and Nicky take the children to so many amazing places and provide wonderful experiences that help them learn and grow. Our daughter always comes home clean, happy, and full of stories about her day. They truly treat her as if she were one of their own, which gives us complete peace of mind.
I couldn’t recommend Panda Cubs highly enough. We are so grateful that our daughter is with Clair and Nicky, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such caring, dedicated childminders.

My daughter has been attending Panda Cubs since it opened, and she absolutely loves it. It truly feels like a home-from-home environment where she is happy, safe, and well cared for.
Clair and Nicki are fantastic childminders who take the children on amazing adventures and provide so many opportunities for them to learn and grow. Since being in their care, my daughter has really thrived and her confidence has grown so much.
