My Experience
Hi! My name is Denise, and I have always loved working with children, combining care, creativity, and education in everything I do. My journey started as a music teacher for young children, where I introduced them to the joy of rhythm, melody, and self-expression through playful activities. From there, I expanded my experience by working as a babysitter, caring for children of different ages and ensuring they were engaged, safe, and happy.
I have also worked in nursery and after-school programs, leading group activities that encouraged creativity, social skills, and early development. Whether it's singing, storytelling, or simply making everyday routines more fun, I always aim to create a warm and stimulating environment for children

Unfortunately I was contacted by Denise saying she could be a 'good fit' for our family.
After a 2 week trial we welcomed you into our home. You met our children, learned their routines, their personalities, their needs. You accepted the job, committed to us, and we trusted you.
The two things I emphasised the most when I met you: PLEASE honesty and transparency.
Once the trial was over and you were supposed to officially start with us came the excuses — last‑minute cancellations, week‑long disappearances, delayed replies, stories that never added up. And finally, silence.
You didn’t just waste our time. You hurt our children who had opened their hearts to you.
Caring for kids is not a casual hobby. It’s a responsibility that shapes their sense of safety and trust.
We now have to rebuild that trust — because of your choices.
Please rethink your path. This work is not for you.

I’m genuinely sorry that the situation ended the way it did and I understand your disappointment. However, I feel it’s important to clarify that the cancellations and communication issues were not due to a lack of commitment or dishonesty.
During that period I developed a severe case of laryngitis after working in extreme weather conditions, which forced me to stay home, and I then suffered a relapse the following week. Shortly afterwards, my phone was stolen, leaving me without a way to communicate properly or access the information I needed to get to your home. These were unexpected circumstances, not excuses.
I apologised for the inconvenience because I recognise the impact it had on your family, but I don’t believe it is fair to describe me as dishonest or imply that I intentionally disappeared. I truly enjoyed meeting your children and I regret that things unfolded this way. I wish your family all the best.
