My Summary
About Me
I have a genuine love for working with children. I’ve previously worked as both a babysitter and a tutor, giving me experience not just in childcare, but also in supporting children’s learning and development. Whether it’s helping with homework, engaging in creative play, or keeping little ones safe and happy, I bring patience, responsibility, and a positive attitude to everything I do.
I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and comfortable with who is caring for their children, and I always strive to build trust through communication, consistency, and kindness. I’d love the opportunity to be a helpful, reliable part of your family’s routine!
My Experience
I have a well-rounded background in both education and childcare. While studying for my PGCE in Primary Education, I gained hands-on teaching experience across a range of primary year groups, developing skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and supporting children with different learning needs. My time in schools has given me a strong understanding of child development and how to create a nurturing, structured environment that encourages both learning and emotional well-being.
Alongside my studies, I worked as a private tutor and a nanny/babysitter. As a tutor, I helped children with their homework and provided one-on-one support in subjects like English and Maths, always adapting my approach to suit each child’s individual learning style. As a nanny, I cared for children of various ages, ensuring their safety, engaging them in creative and educational activities, and helping with routines like mealtimes and bedtime.
These experiences have taught me to be calm, reliable, and adaptable — whether I’m helping with homework, managing playtime, or simply offering a reassuring presence.
My Qualifications
I am completing my PGCE in Primary Education, which included in-school training and teaching placements across Key Stages. This qualification equipped me with a strong understanding of the national curriculum, child development, and effective teaching and behaviour management strategies. I will hold full QTS, allowing me to teach in primary schools across the UK.
Prior to my PGCE, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. This degree developed my analytical thinking, organisation, and communication skills — all of which complement my work in both education and childcare.
