About Me
Hello, I’m Kedia – a passionate childminder and mum, offering a cosy, home-from-home setting in Ashford called Bluebell Nest. My Home Nursery is a joyful space where little ones grow through curiosity-led play, daily outdoor adventures, and plenty of love and care. I’m open Monday to Friday, 7am–7pm, and accept Early Years Funding for eligible families. We enjoy local walks to the park and library, and every day is full of wonder. I’d love to welcome you to the Bluebell Nest family.
My Experience
Although I’m newly qualified as a registered childminder, my journey in childcare began many years ago. I worked closely with my mum, supporting her as a childcare assistant and later as a respite carer, which gave me rich hands-on experience with little ones and their unique needs.
I’ve spent years around babies and young children, and caring for them feels like second nature. I continue to build on my knowledge by regularly attending training to strengthen my provision, and I hold up-to-date safeguarding and paediatric first aid certification.
I believe in lifelong learning and always strive to provide the highest quality of care in a warm, nurturing environment.

My Availability
I offer full-time and part-time care for children from the early years through primary school age. I also provide breakfast club support for early starts and am available for local school drop-offs and pick-ups.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£75.00 per full day
Sibling discount available (please enquire)
Our core operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM; however, earlier start times and later finishes can be accommodated upon request

We used Kay's services as the first childminder for our baby girl, at the time she was approx 15 months. Kay was a delight to deal with from the offset being very prompt with messages and also providing updates throughout the day with pictures, we really appreciated this as we felt reassured throughout the day seeing pictures of her food and activities. We also feel that Kay did promote development and skills that we did not realise at first, it was only in a wider setting with other children and on the reports of activities completed during her stay that we realised Kay was very proactive at pushing development with her. I would recommend Kay to all friends and family with no concerns.

Kay is such a kind, caring, and genuinely lovely person. From the very beginning, she made my child feel completely safe, happy, and at home. It honestly gave me so much comfort knowing my child was so settled with her — she would walk straight through the door excited to see Kay without even saying goodbye to me!
I have my child on a routine, and Kay followed it perfectly while still making every day fun and enjoyable. She takes the children on lovely trips out and always keeps them engaged and happy.
One thing that really stood out to me was how reassuring and supportive she is. Whenever I wanted an update, she would reply quickly and always put my mind at ease. As a parent, that means everything.
I truly couldn’t recommend Kay enough to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and loving childminder. She treats the children as if they were her own, and I’m so grateful for everything she has done for my child.
