My Summary

My Experience

I have volunteered at a youth centre called Mahdlo in Oldham where I worked with young people from a range of different backgrounds and needs (ages 2-16). After demonstrating strong relationships with young people, helping to create a safe and inclusive environment I got offered a paid role as an activities worker to which I continue currently as part time work a few nights a week, half term & summer holidays.

I have extensive experience working with young people through both my current role at Mahdlo Youth Zone and my previous position at Manchester Youth Zone. In these roles, I have supported young people from a wide range of backgrounds by creating positive relationships, delivering engaging activities, and providing guidance in a safe and inclusive environment. I have developed strong communication and mentoring skills, enabling me to build trust with young people and encourage their personal, social, and emotional development. My experience has also involved managing challenging behaviour, promoting wellbeing, and working as part of a team to ensure young people feel supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.

I have worked with different agencies that have allowed me to do invigilating in high schools and also be a cover teacher. I have experience working in Manchester youth zone as a Rec youth worker which allowed me to also gain lots of experience in different areas in regards to working with young people.

• Babysitting from £12.50 per hour

I work at £12.50 an hour (minimum) and don’t mind being paid in cash or card :)
