My Experience
I’m a fully qualified children’s nurse with over three years of professional training and hands-on experience caring for children in both medical and home settings. My background includes working in NICU, PICU, and HDU, where I cared for newborns and children with complex health needs. I’m confident in supporting all aspects of baby and child care, from feeding and hygiene to sleep routines and emergency response, with a calm, knowledgeable, and nurturing approach.
Alongside my medical training, I’ve also worked in a nursery setting, supporting young children in their early years through play-based learning, social development, and daily routines. I also spent two years studying primary teaching, which gave me a strong understanding of how to support children’s learning and development in fun, engaging, age-appropriate ways.
I’ve provided live-in care in residential homes for children with additional needs, offering 24/7 support and building strong, trusting relationships with children who require emotional and behavioural support. This experience helped me grow into a calm, patient, and adaptable carer who can handle both everyday routines and more challenging situations with sensitivity.
On a personal level, I’ve been caring for children all my life -coming from a big, loving family, I’ve always been the go-to babysitter for my nieces, nephews, and family friends. I genuinely love being around children and pride myself on creating safe, happy environments where they can feel secure, seen, and supported.
