About Me
I am currently a full-time PhD student and casual lecturer at the University of Liverpool, looking for a supplementary income while I finish my studies. I have also completed a PGCE in Secondary History (with Distinction) and have worked with young people of diverse backgrounds and abilities, both within and outside of academia. I am a mother to a seventeen-year-old son, who has excelled academically, and have four nieces, aged 8–13, who I have a very close relationship with. I understand how to make learning accessible albeit challenging and demonstrate compassion, patience and care with any child I am responsible for. I am fun, playful and love the outdoors.
My Experience
I have personal and professional experience working with, and caring for, children across all ages, inclusive of those with SEN. I am a local historian and educator by trade and also work with children through Liverpool’s heritage sector (refer to my “About me” section for more information on my relevant experience).
My Qualifications
Currently a PhD candidate at the University of Liverpool; PGCE in Secondary History (Distinction), MRes in Modern History (Merit); BA (Hons) History.
My Availability
I can be mostly flexible around your schedule and can be available last minute. I am happy to undertake caring, cooking and tutoring responsibilities, as required. Please note, I do not currently have access to a car.
