About Me
I’m a final year Criminology student at the University of York. I am responsible, caring, and enjoy spending time with children and animals. I’m calm and reliable, and I always make sure to create a fun, positive environment, whether that means reading stories, doing crafts, or spending time outdoors. I’m also very organised and attentive. In my spare time, I love to read, bake and spend time with my housemates.
My Experience
I have spent two summers working as a camp counsellor in the US with 6-16-year-olds, which included running activities and sharing a cabin with the girls full-time. I have previously spent over a year working at an after-school club at a Primary school, which included supervising play and creating activities for the children. I have a 13-year-old stepsister and have spent the last 7 years looking after her when needed.
My Qualifications
I have a large amount of experience with a range of ages having worked at an afterschool club for a primary school and an American summer camp. I hold a current American Red Cross lifeguarding certification, which includes a first-aid certification along with a WSI certification (swim instructor). I also hold an International Child Protection Certificate (similar to DBS).
My Availability
My availability revolves around my university schedule, however I can be more flexible if needed.
