About Me
I’m a Criminology student at the University of York. I am responsible, caring, and enjoy spending time with children and animals. I’m calm and reliable, and I always make sure to create a fun, positive environment, whether that means reading stories, doing crafts, or spending time outdoors. I’m also very organised and attentive. In my spare time, I love to read, bake and spend time with my housemates.
My Experience
I spent one summer working as a camp counsellor in the US with 6-16-year-olds, which included running activities and sharing the cabin, and I am planning on going again this summer. I have previously spent over a year working at an after-school club at a Primary school, which included supervising play and creating activities for the children. I have a 12-year-old stepsister and have spent the last 6 years looking after her when needed.
My Qualifications
I have completed one summer working at a summer camp, where I obtained a Red Cross lifeguarding certification that is still valid, which includes a first-aid certification. I also hold an International Child Protection Certificate (similar to DBS).
