My Summary

My Experience

I’ve looked after a friend’s younger brother, aged 8. My responsibilities included helping with homework, taking him on walks to the park, and putting him to bed. It wasn’t necessarily a job; it was just to help out the family. I believe I stayed with him 2 days a week for a couple of hours in the evenings.

I’ve tutored young children with mathematics and science in a tuition centre in Portugal.

I’ve looked after my brother many times when my parents haven’t been able to. This was ongoing during my upbringing. I would have to cook for us, help him with homework, and play sports with him.

Most recently i’ve worked with two siblings, of 2 years and 11 months, the day-to-day would include multitasking, teaching languages, cooking, nappy changes, park walks, etc.

My Qualifications

As part of my professional career, I've followed through the Architecture route. I am currently completing my Part 2 & 3 Architectural masters degree, as part of a degree apprenticeship. I work for an architectural practice in Islington throughout the week and study once a week at university. Before starting this course I studied Mathematics, Economics and Product Design, and one of the reasons I would love to transition to tutoring is so that I continue pursuing these subjects during my day to day life.

In terms of languages, I speak English, Portuguese natively, and i am fluent in Spanish, I have experience teaching languages to young children, and I am open to teaching these languages to 16+ children also.

My Availability

I'll always try to be flexible with a family i'm working for, i'll always be open to last minute nannying, homework help, etc. I am looking for a family who need help from around 18/18:30pm onwards during the week. On weekends i am usually quite flexible depending on the needs of the parents.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £19.00 per hour

For now, I’ve provided an average rate, but I don’t believe cost should be the main factor. I’m happy to discuss and adjust the fees with parents to better suit their needs.
