Hi, I’m Lois, owner of Little Arks Babysitting, and a proud mum to two children of my own. After recently leaving my role in childcare as a Deputy Nursery Manager and Activities Coordinator, I have now started my own self-employed childcare venture.
I have 8 years of experience working across a variety of childcare settings. I began my career unqualified and progressed through roles including Nursery Nurse, Room Leader, and most recently Deputy Manager. Alongside this, I have also worked as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
I am Level 3 qualified in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD) and I am registered with the DBS Update Service.
I hold a full UK driving licence, have my own vehicle with business insurance, and I am able to provide suitable car seats where needed.

I believe in building strong relationships with families and always keep parents updated throughout the day with photos and regular updates on how their children are getting on.

I also have experience working closely with parents, providing regular updates, photos, and feedback to maintain positive and trusting relationships.
As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find reliable and nurturing childcare. I pride myself on creating a warm, fun, and caring environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive.
