About Me
I am a warm, caring, and reliable childminder with a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
As a mum of two boys, I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and reassured about their childcare. I aim to create a home-from-home setting where children feel happy, secure, and valued, and where strong, trusting relationships with families are built.
I enjoy planning activities that support children’s learning and development while making sure they have plenty of opportunities to play, be creative, and enjoy themselves. My priority is always to ensure that every child in my care feels safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
My Experience
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for four years, where I gained valuable experience supporting children’s learning, development, and emotional wellbeing within an educational setting.
Since 2024, I have been working as a childminder, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and feel valued and secure. I have experience caring for children of various ages, including newborns, and I adapt my approach to meet each child’s individual needs and routines.
My personal experience as a parent, alongside my professional background, allows me to build strong relationships with both children and their families.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified childminder with a strong foundation of training and professional development that enables me to provide high-quality care for children. I have completed Paediatric First Aid training, which ensures I can respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, keeping children safe at all times.
I have also undertaken training in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), giving me a clear understanding of how children learn and develop from birth to five years. This allows me to plan and provide activities that support each child’s individual learning journey in line with current guidelines.
In addition, I hold a Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualification, which has helped me develop the skills to support children with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
My Food Hygiene certification ensures that I prepare and handle food safely, promoting healthy eating habits while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Safeguarding is a key priority in my role. I have completed both Safeguarding and Advanced Safeguarding training, enabling me to recognise signs of abuse or neglect and take appropriate action to protect children in my care.
I am also familiar with Development Matters, which supports my understanding of children’s progress and helps me track and support their development effectively.
Through these qualifications, I am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children feel secure, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.
My Availability
I'm flexible and Available Mondays to Fridays, During the day and overnight care.
I'm also available sometimes weekends.
