About Me
My name is Jess and I am a qualified level 3 childcare provider who has a valid paediatric first aid certificate, safeguarding and is DBS checked. I provide a safe, caring and welcoming environment where children can feel comfortable, supported and happy. I aim to make every child feel valued while providing age-appropriate activities that encourage learning, creativity, confidence and independence. I am very flexible and reliable so can carry out any childcare and household duties that are required.
I understand that every child is different, so I take the time to learn their individual needs, interests and routines. My goal is to provide parents with dependable support while ensuring children are happy, engaged and well cared for.
My Experience
I completed my GCSEs at Calder High School getting all grade 5s. I then went on to Huddersfield New College where I got my Level 3 certificate in Childcare and education.
I then went to Colden J and I school where I worked as a SEN teaching assistant/ learning support and completed my level 3 teaching assistant apprenticeship. During this time, I worked closely with children with a range of special educational needs, building strong, trusting relationships to ensure each child felt valued, supported and safe within the school environment. I planned and delivered individualised, age-appropriate activities tailored to each child’s needs, abilities and development goals, supporting them to make progress and achieve their next steps. I also provided support with daily care, emotional regulation and wellbeing, adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs.
I also monitored the out of school club where I provided fun stimulating activities for primary aged children as well as providing healthy snacks and meals.
I then went to Crossley mill nursery where I provided attentive, nurturing care for young children, supporting their development through age-appropriate play, learning and creative activities. Managed daily routines including meals, personal care, sleep and outdoor activities, while promoting children’s independence, confidence and wellbeing. Maintained a safe, stimulating environment and communicated effectively with parents about children’s needs, progress and daily routines.
I also have lots of experience babysitting with different families so I am easily adaptable and flexible.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 in childcare and education which I completed at Huddersfield new College before going onto complete a teaching assistant apprenticeship in a primary school. I have further completed my paediatric first aid, food health and hygiene and safeguarding. Throughout my experience I have also completed lots of courses such as autism awareness and team teach.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday all hours. I can also do occasional overnight and weekend work.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
