Molly
Babysitter in Olney
My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m Molly. I’m a reliable, DBS-cleared caregiver and the eldest of four with experience in a foster-care household, looking to bring my warmth, enthusiasm, and love for the outdoors to a new family.
I have recently moved back home after some incredible time spent traveling the world and finishing my degree at the University of Birmingham. I’ve always found myself drawn to working with children, partly because I’m the oldest of four, so a busy, bustling house feels like home to me. Growing up with a fostering family was also a huge part of my life; it taught me much about patience, empathy, and how to support vulnerable children through tough chapters.
I’m definitely not the type of nanny who just sits on the sofa! I’m happiest when I’m outside hiking, getting creative with an art project, or curled up reading my favourite book. I’m also really passionate about the environment, I’ve spent time volunteering for climate causes, and I love finding little ways to teach kids about nature.
My own home is currently a bit of a zoo with two dogs, two cats, and a hamster, so if you have pets, they’ll get just as much love from me as the kids do. Essentially, I’m looking to bring my warmth and experience to a family where I can be a helpful, proactive extra set of hands and a positive role model for your little ones.
My Experience
Being the eldest of four, including supporting a foster child in our home, I have spent years being the reliable oldest sister of a busy household. From school runs, to homework and making dinner, this background has given me a natural intuition for looking after and supporting children through various developmental stages.
Furthermore, in my previous role I acted as a central coordination point for over 20 residential homes. Here, I was responsible for emergency triage, meaning when a crisis occurred, I was the one coordinating the resolution to ensure the safety and continuity of care for vulnerable residents. I believe this experience translates directly into nannying; I am extremely level-headed in high-pressure situations and can manage complex family schedules with ease. Additionally, my time as a Sustainability Lead and my volunteering in climate impact allow me to bring an educational, nature-focused lens to childcare. I love engaging kids in outdoor exploration to spark their curiosity about the world.
Having recently returned from solo global travel and a year living in Singapore, I am resourceful, adaptable, and a confident problem-solver. I also have a First-Class Honours degree and strong academic foundations, making me well-equipped to support with homework or educational play.
