Hello! I'm Maddy, I am a warm, reliable and enthusiastic childcare professional with four years of primary teaching experience and extensive nannying and tutoring experience in both the UK and Australia. I am passionate about creating nurturing, engaging environments where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to thrive.
I have experience caring for children from infancy through to primary school age, including establishing routines, supporting developmental milestones, planning educational activities, preparing healthy meals and assisting with homework and tutoring. My Experience
I have over four years of professional experience working with children in a variety of settings. As a qualified primary school teacher, I taught children aged 3–11 and developed strong skills in supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
Alongside teaching, I have worked as a full-time nanny in Sydney caring for a baby from 7 months old, supporting feeding and sleep routines, introducing solids and planning age-appropriate activities. I have also cared for two children under five in Melbourne, managing school and nursery routines, providing full-day care during holidays and offering tutoring in English and Maths whilst using a Montessori-inspired approach.
I am confident caring for babies, toddlers and school-aged children and enjoy building strong relationships with both children and parents.
My Qualifications
- BA (Hons) Primary Education and English Literature with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awarded ‘Outstanding’ in my practice
- Four years of primary teaching experience
- Enhanced DBS (willing to renew/update if required)
- AFP National Police Check
- Full UK driving licence
- Extensive nannying experience with babies, toddlers and school-aged children
- Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL
- English and Maths tutoring experience
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday during daytime hours and can also offer overnight care when required. I am happy to provide occasional evening babysitting and weekend childcare, although I would appreciate advance notice where possible so that arrangements can be planned. I am flexible and always aim to work collaboratively with families to meet their childcare needs.
My Fees
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
My standard rate is from £20 per hour. As every family is different, I am happy to discuss rates based on the number of children, duties required, and hours needed. Evening, weekend, Bank Holiday, and overnight care may be charged at a different rate.
