About Me

I offer warm, reliable and emotionally aware childcare for families who want their child to feel safe, supported and understood.

I have a Psychology degree, experience in wellbeing/support work, and a background in childcare. I’m also yoga-qualified, so I can bring calm, creativity, movement and emotional regulation into my care when appropriate.

I can support with babysitting, after-school care, homework, creative play, gentle routines, light meal/snack preparation, and calming activities. I’m especially confident with children who are sensitive, energetic, anxious, neurodivergent, or simply need someone patient and nurturing.

My approach is calm, playful and responsible. I aim to create a safe environment where children can relax, express themselves, build confidence and enjoy their time while parents feel reassured.

My Experience

I have several years of experience working with children in different settings, including nurseries, children’s camps, SEN education, and private nannying.

My childcare experience began during my Health and Social Care studies, where I completed a nursery placement. I later worked at a children’s camp from around 2019 to 2021/2022, progressing into a Head Group Leader role. This involved supervising groups of children, planning activities, supporting behaviour, keeping children safe, and creating a fun, structured environment.

Alongside this, I worked as an after-school nanny for two young boys, aged around 1 and 3 when I started. I supported them with routines, homework, play, school-related activities, and general care. I also introduced gentle wellbeing activities, including simple yoga, movement, breathing, and calming routines.

I also worked in an SEN school as a learning support assistant for around six months, supporting children with additional needs in the classroom and helping them engage with learning in a patient, encouraging way.

Since then, I have worked in the wellbeing and support sector with adults, including supporting people experiencing substance misuse and complex needs. Although this is adult-focused, it has strengthened my skills in communication, safeguarding, emotional regulation, patience, and working with people who may need extra support.

I have a Psychology degree, a strong interest in child psychology, and I am currently studying a Master’s in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing. I am also a qualified 200-hour yoga teacher and would love to bring more child-focused wellbeing, emotional regulation, and confidence-building activities into my childcare work.

My Qualifications

I hold a BSc Psychology degree and I am currently studying a Master’s in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing.

I also have a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, which included a nursery placement, and I have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training qualification.

My background also includes professional training and experience in safeguarding, wellbeing support, emotional regulation, communication, and supporting people with additional needs.

My Availability

I currently work full-time, but my role is flexible and I mainly work from home. I usually go into the office on Tuesdays, so Tuesdays may be more limited, but I have more flexibility on the other weekdays.

I may be able to support with morning school runs, afternoon pick-ups, after-school care, evening babysitting, weekends, school holidays, and ad hoc childcare depending on location, timings, and my work schedule.

I’m happy to discuss what each family needs and see whether we can create a suitable arrangement.
